We’re over six weeks into the NHL season, and there have been plenty of changes over that time span.  I figured this was a good time to run down all 31 teams and make a list of who is a hold or streamer, and add any notes on certain players where necessary.  This is from 12 man leagues with standard categories.  Let’s get right to it!

Holds: Getzlaf, Rakell, Montour, Gibson,

Streamers: Silfverberg, Kase, Ritchie, Kesler, Henrique, Aberg

I’m not a big fan of Brandon Montour, but the Ducks are decimated on the blue line at the moment.  He gets a huge short term boost.  So does Jakob Silfverberg who is currently on the first line.  He’s a border line hold if he sticks in that role, but I’m not sure he does.  Ondrej Kase is taking a massive amount of shots, which you guys know I love.  Lots of upside there.

Holds: Keller, OEL, Galchenyuk, Raanta

Streamers: Schmaltz, Panik, Hinostroza

The Coyotes acquired Nick Schmaltz on Sunday for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini.  I’ll talk about the other two under Chicago.  For Schmaltz, this trade is a downgrade.  He goes into a worse situation as he’ll certainly be C3 now.  The three guys I listed are all bottom end streamers.

Holds: Pastrnak, Marchand, Bergeron, Krug, McAvoy, Krejci, Rask, Halak

Streamers: DeBrusk

I’m including injured guys as holds for everyone.  That’s why Bergeron and McAvoy are included here.  Honestly, this one seems pretty simple.  Maybe Jake DeBrusk can get up to a hold, but he’s shooting 20% and has 2 assists.  For now, both goalies still need to be held.

Holds: Eichel, Skinner, Dahlin, Ristolainen, Hutton

Streamers: Reinhart, Pominville, Mittelstadt, Sheary, Okposo

I came very close to including Sam Reinhart as a hold.  The assists are great and the goals should come.  If I knew he would stick on L1, I’d have him as a hold, but he keeps bouncing back and forth with Pominville.  Rasmus Dahlin is really coming on; he’s going to be incredible.

Holds: Gaudreau, Monahan, Lindholm, Tkachuk, Giordano, Rittich

Streamers: Backlund, Bennett, Hanifin

Super straight forward team outside of the mess in net.  For now, I favor David Rittich.  James Neal isn’t even worth streaming consideration anymore.  Remember this next offseason when players talk up somebody who isn’t that good (Gaudreau kept saying in the offseason that he was excited to play with Neal).

Holds: Aho, Teravainen, Ferland, Hamilton, Faulk

Streamers: Svechnikov, Williams, Staal, Martinook, Slavin, McElhinney

Michael Ferland has been better than anyone could have expected and is a clear hold as LW1.  If you want to hold Andrei Svechnikov, I won’t argue.  At this point, I have no faith in Scott Darling and I’d rather the Canes use Curtis McElhinney.  I’d stream McElhinney in most matchups.

Holds: Kane, Toews, DeBrincat, Saad, Crawford

Streamers: Perlini, Strome, Anisimov, Jokiharju, Keith, Gustafsson, Seabrook

It will be interesting to see how Chicago sets up their top six now with the influx in talent.  I like the trade a lot from their perspective but it’s hard to say how it works in the short term.  If say, Toews and Kane are split up, Strome could end up getting a big boost.  Something to watch.  As long as Brandon Saad is with Toews and Kane, I’m holding, but barely.  I don’t like this blue line at all, but the order I have them in is the order I prefer them if you need to grab one of them.

Holds: MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog, Barrie, Varlamov

Streamers: Kerfoot, Jost, Wilson, Johnson, Girard

Nothing else to even consider for these guys.

Holds: Panarin, Atkinson, Dubois, Anderson, Jones, Werenski, Bobrovsky

Streamers: Foligno, Jenner, Wennberg, Duclair

Josh Anderson is putting on a lot of shots and scoring at a solid rate.  Add in the PIM and I’m holding him right now.  Everyone else is straight forward.

Hold: Seguin, Benn, Radulov, Klingberg, Lindell, Bishop

Streamers: Spezza, Janmark, Nichushkin, Bayreuther, Heiskanen

It’s only until Klingberg returns, but Esa Lindell is an easy hold right now.  I have no idea how long it lasts, but right now Gavin Bayreuther is on the first power play unit.  He’s worth considering as a streamer or for DFS.  Welcome to the Razzball Database!

Holds: Larkin, Athanasiou, Green, Howard

Streamers: Mantha, Nyqvist, Bertuzzi, Vanek, Cholowski

I’m still driving the Andreas Athanasiou bandwagon.  Anthony Mantha is really coming on strong, but I still wouldn’t quite hold him in 12’ers; same with Gus.  Jimmy Howard has been so good that he has to be held.

Holds: McDavid, Draisaitl, RNH

Streamers: Spooner, Caggiula, Klefbom, Nurse, Koskinen

Basically, you can stream whoever is with McDavid.  Right now, Ryan Spooner is the lucky guy.  I don’t really have faith in either goalie, but Mikko Koskinen has been much better than Cam Talbot.  If you want to hold Koskinen, I’m fine with it.

Holds: Barkov, Huberdeau, Hoffman, Dadonov, Trocheck (if you have IR spots), Yandle, Luongo

Streamers: Bjugstad, Vatrano, Matheson, Ekblad

Not much to see here.  All of the holds are trivial, and I remain lower on Aaron Ekblad than most.

Holds: Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, Petersen

Streamers: Carter, Kovalchuk, Brown, Toffoli, Iafallo, Muzzin

I really don’t want anything to do with these guys offensively at the moment.  If you have more faith than me, you can hold the first three guys I have listed as streamers.  I do have a league I’m holding Carter in, so I can’t blame you, but I’m about to drop him.

Holds: Staal, Zucker, Granlund, Parise, Koivu, Dumba, Suter, Spurgeon, Dubnyk

Streamers: Niederreiter, Coyle

The only guys up for debate are Mikko Koivu and Jared Spurgeon.  Koivu is piling up so many assists that even though he’s an AAGNOF right now, he should be held.  As for Spurgeon, the blue line is poor, and he does just enough to sneak in as a hold in my opinion.  That could change quickly.

Holds: Gallagher, Domi, Drouin, Petry, Weber

Streamers: Tatar, Kotkaniemi, Shaw, Danault, Lehkonen

First off, I didn’t have any stock anyways, but Carey Price is a hard pass right now.  I’m just down on this team in general and expect them to take a downswing soon.  I would try to sell Max Domi if I could.  He was absolutely atrocious in Friday’s game against Buffalo, and I just can’t see him coming anywhere close to this current pace come the end of the season.  You could convince me Tomas Tatar is a hold, but again, I want to fade this team.

Holds: Forsberg, Johansen, Arvidsson, Josi, Ellis, Subban, Ekholm, Rinne

Streamers: Smith, Turris, Fiala, Hartman, Sissons, Saros

Very straight forward team.  Mattias Ekholm‘s value comes down to Subban’s health, plain and simple.

Holds: Hall, Hischier, Palmieri, Severson, Kinkaid

Streamers: Zacha, Zajac, Johansson, Bratt, Vatanen

I’m not doing a victory lap because it’s not like he’s been lighting the world on fire, but Keith Kinkaid has been much better than Cory Schneider as I expected.  He’s the clear top choice right now.  Damon Severson is doing enough across the board to be held.

Holds: Barzal, Lee, Bailey, Nelson, Greiss

Streamers: Eberle, Beauvillier, Filppula, Mayfield, Leddy, Lehner

Brock Nelson has been great all season but it’s gone under the radar.  Not sure it lasts, but he needs to be held right now.  Boy, does this blue line stink.  Thomas Greiss has been fantastic, but Robin Lehner was playing well too until recently.  Lehner is downgraded to a streamer in the right matchups, but I’d use Greiss against anybody right now.

Holds: Kreider, Zibanejad, Pionk, Lundqvist

Streamers: Chytil, Hayes, Zuccarello, Buchnevich, Howden, Vesey, Namestnikov, Shattenkirk, Skjei, DeAngelo

Lot of solid streamers for the Rangers, but not many holds.  I’m not really buying Neal Pionk, but he still needs to be held right now.

Holds: Duchene, Stone, Tkachuk, Chabot

Streamers: White, Batherson, Tierney, Dzingel, Boedker, Lajoie

Never expected this team to have so many fantasy relevant guys, but here we are.  I think it’s pretty straight forward.  I suppose you could make a case for Ryan Dzingel as a hold, but he’s on the third line right now, so I don’t think any of these are up for debate.

Holds: Giroux, Couturier, Konecny, JVR, Voracek, Simmonds, Gostisbehere, Provorov, Elliott

Streamers: Patrick, Weal, Hagg

Another easy one.  Wayne Simmonds is a sell high for me, but he’s a hold.  Travis Konecny has solidified himself as RW1, and the shots plus PIM make him an easy hold too.  I’m not a Brian Elliott fan, but he’s still a bottom end #2.

Holds: Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Guentzel, Hornqvist, Letang, DeSmith

Streamers: Simon, Pearson, Brassard, Rust

Casey DeSmith has played so well that he should be the #1 even when Matt Murray returns.  Not much else to say on the Pens; they remain the same type of team.

Holds: Kane, Pavelski, Meier, Couture, Hertl, Burns, Karlsson, Jones

Streamers: Thornton, Donskoi, Sorensen, Dell

All of the skaters are easy decisions.  The goaltending is the real question mark.  Martin Jones has been a complete dumpster fire with a GAA over 3 and sv% under .900.  Aaron Dell has been reliable in the past, and while he hasn’t lit the world on fire in his 8 games, a .914 sv% is all the Sharks really need.  If you need to gamble on a goaltender, I’d grab Dell and hope he runs with the job.

Holds: RoR, Schenn, Tarasenko, Pietrangelo

Streamers: Perron, Fabbri, Schwartz, Steen, Bozak, Dunn

This team is a damn mess because their goaltending is an abortion.  I don’t like their chances to improve much either; I really wish the Sabres had their first round pick unprotected for this season instead of it being top 10 protected and unprotected in 2020, because I don’t see how it turns unless they call up Ville Husso and he takes the league by storm.  Considering he’s struggling in the AHL, it seems unlikely.

Holds: Kucherov, Stamkos, Point, Gourde, Miller, McDonagh, Vasilevskiy, Domingue (while Vas is out)

Streamers: Johnson, Killorn, Cirelli, Sergachev

I expected Ryan McDonagh to fall off hard when Hedman returned, but it hasn’t happened.  While it won’t last offensively, the massive plus-minus boost is enough alone with decent points to hold.  I was torn on J.T. Miller but for now, he’s a hold.  Everyone else is clear cut.

Holds: Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Kapanen, Kadri, Rielly, Andersen

Streamers: Hyman, Marleau, Gardiner, Hainsey

Nazem Kadri is the only guy who is close to the fence for holding, but I feel pretty safe about him being a hold with his PIM and shot rate.  I can’t believe I am including Ron Hainsey even as a streamer, and it’s still bottom end, but he’s playing enough minutes that he’s stumbling into points and a very good plus-minus.

Holds: Pettersson, Horvat, Boeser

Streamers: Goldobin, Virtanen, Hutton, Edler

The Canucks have fallen apart so goaltending isn’t a consideration.  Simple team for fantasy purposes.

Holds: Marchessault, Karlsson, Tuch, Pacioretty, Miller, Theodore, Fleury

Streamers: R. Smith, Eakin

Max Pacioretty has caught fire to solidify himself as a clear hold.  He finally looks comfortable in Vegas.  Colin Miller and Shea Theodore aren’t exciting, but they’re both doing just enough with their respective strengths to be a hold.

Holds: Ovechkin, Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Oshie, Wilson, Carlson, Holtby

Streamers: Eller, Vrana, Niskanen, Orlov

For now, I’m holding Tom Wilson for his offensive contributions.  He has 9 points in 7 games and it’s only a matter of time until he piles up some PIM.

Holds: Wheeler, Scheifele, Laine, Connor, Byfuglien, Trouba, Hellebuyck

Streamers: Ehlers, Little, Perreault, Morrissey

I’m giving Jacob Trouba the benefit of the doubt here.  Even if he keeps up his current 40 point pace, the PIM are enough to make him a fringe hold, so I’ll take a chance on him.  I want to say Nikolaj Ehlers is a hold since he’s on the first line, but he hasn’t clicked in yet.  I think it happens though, so if you have the spot, grab him.  Also, shout out to Patrik Laine for his five goal game the other day.  Eleven goals in his past four games seems good.

Monday Streamers:

Kasperi Kapanen (24.2%) – I know I usually do under 20%, but the fact that Kapanen is available in over 75% of leagues is nuts.  Boston is banged up and Kapanen should be a hold, plain and simple.

Filip Chytil (5.2%) – Chytil has been scoring plenty of goals lately.  He’s been rewarded with time on the first line and a matchup with the Sens at home is as good as it gets.  Get all the Rangers in that you can.

Boone Jenner (3.2%) – The shot rate is there for Jenner, he’s centering the second line, he’s up on the first power play unit, and he gets to play Detroit.  These are all good things.

That’s all for now guys.  I am unsure if I’ll be back on Tuesday or Wednesday at this point, it depends on how much action there is in tonight’s games and if there are any pressing matters that I need to write about.  Lackeydrinksonme will have a streamer post coming out later this morning, so be sure to check it out!  As always, feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments below.  Thanks for reading, take care!

  1. Yr Never Too Old For Balloons says:

wow, how in the hell did the team getting strome have to be the one throwing in the extra player, seems that should’ve been schmaltz + X for strome (this isn’t ryan strome here, THAT would’ve made sense in his case)

    • Yr Never Too Old For Balloons says:

@Yr Never Too Old For Balloons: and good lord is ARI giving up on their top prospects early very often these days. first domi (i get that they netted something really good on that one) now d.strome. this would be similar to IF TB got very little for moving out drouin to MTL (clearly that didn’t happen an eventual cornerstone D man IS very valuable)

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Yr Never Too Old For Balloons: I definitely agree, although I’m surprised how split the reaction is. Seems like a no brainer to me for Chicago, although I’m down on Schmaltz compared to consensus.

I loved the Domi trade for them, and fully expect Domi to start falling off. Easy choice of Galchenyuk for me. Not sure Sergachev ever gets to cornerstone D man, there’s a fairly good chance, but it’s not a lock. He’s super young but has had a tough year to this point. That was still a nice trade for them though.

      • Yr Never Too Old For Balloons says:

@Viz: sure it’s hard to guarantee a cornerstone D man (see ekblad, albeit he’s still young), but i’d bank on the value of that over all that stuff drouin was about while in TB as panning out. drouin will probably end up much more useful as he’s living in his hometown where he’s probably viewed entirely as a god (see quebec league mario lemieux-type numbers). that and TB was clearly more stocked up at scoring wingers already, but MTL of course already badly needed EXACTLY cornerstone D men types.

  2. jumponit says:

Thanks for that – great as always! I have Bishop, Rittich, Quick in a 16 team H2H (with blocks, hits). Would you try to trade Quick for a Barkov or a Marchand?

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@jumponit: No problem! Oh god yeah, in a heart beat. I always take the forward over goalie if it’s close, but this isn’t even close. Quick is a #2 at this point given how bad the Kings are, and those guys are truly elite forwards.

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:

@jumponit: i have no clue who would ever trade you either of those straight up EVEN IF quick had no this year injury concerns. the forwards haven’t lost value and both are drafted far higher than quick in sane people leagues.

  3. dubjay says:

    Hey Viz,
How was your thanksgiving weekend? Being a Canadian I missed out on the festivities but enjoyed the matinee hockey on Friday. Looking at your list, I was surprised that you didnt list VORACEK as a hold? Let alone a streamer?!? He was ranked as 25 on both your and Lackeys rankings this year(25th overall forward on your list)Hes still on the top PP unit whcih should be pretty automatic with the talent on it. Reason I ask is I just picked him up off of waivers for N.PIONK. I dont need him necessarily but couldnt see why he would be sitting on waivers in a 12 team league.

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@dubjay: Hey dubjay, it was okay on the whole. It was good to great until Saturday when I got sick, but I’m almost past it now. Went to Sabres-Canadiens Friday which was great. Not having Voracek there was an oversight by myself thinking I typed him when I didn’t; he’s a clear hold. I will edit it; thanks for the heads up.

      • dubjay says:

Phew. I thought that I blew it grabbing Voracek for a minute there. Which one would you be starting if you had to choose between Boeser, Voracek or Dubois? Looks like Boeser will be back tomorrow night.

        • dubjay says:

Also are you dropping any of Ristolainen or OEL for Werenski?

        • Viz

          Viz says:

@dubjay: For this minute, I would go Dubois, although it could change quickly. The defenseman choice comes down to what categories you are looking for.

          • dubjay says:

I guess that Im looking for the most well rounded dman.
Also my goalies have been driving me nuts with inconsistency. Dubnyk has been pretty great all year. But Raanta and Crawford have been sooo streaky. Raanta was great earlier in the year but lets in 5 and 6 goals the last 2 games. I know that he is just coming back from injury but man. Thats a killer in a roto league. Crawford has been even worse. He gets a shutout then lets in 1 goal 2 games in a row. Then 4 each of the next 2 games. Its like trying to catch lightning in a bottle.
Not sure which of Raanta or Crawford to start night in night out.
Tonight Raanta is @MIN and Crawford is vs VGK. Who do you like there?

    • Stupid Sexy Glanders says:

@dubjay: i was reading about the swedes/russians/fins assorted other foreigners that had no idea what goes on for thanksgiving and a canadien explained it “you sit around with family members, eat/drink and watch football and do nothing”. so clearly canadiens didn’t have to miss out on it and probably by no intent of their own fulfilled it exactly. it’s not like hockey was on that night, but football was.

  4. Marco Aurélio Corrêa Cordeiro da Silva says:

Hey Viz, My team is like this:

    16 team League ESPN – Scoring: G/A/PIM/PPG/PPA/SHG/SHA/FOW/FOL/HAT/SOG/HIT/BLK – H2H Non Keeper – 23 skaters (max 18 per game) – 2 Goalies (1 per game) – 5 IR spots

    I’m in 4th place

    C – Eichel, Larkin, T.Johnson, Eller, Athanasiou

LW – Skinner, Perron, Sheary, Wilson, Boedker

RW – Rantanen, Nylander, Sorensen, Nichushkin, Fischer

D – Hedman, Gostisbehere, Weber, C.Miller, Trouba, Martinez, Schmidt, Jensen, Hanifin

    G – Dubnyk, Bishop, Petersen

    Goals worth 4 points, Assists 2, SOG 0.4, HIT 0.2, BLK 0.4

Any advice on this? My wingers don’t look very good, but they are at least on your streaming list.
Schmidt has a good value as a D? He was long suspended, wanted to know what to expect.

    Godspeed you, hockey man!

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Marco Aurélio Corrêa Cordeiro da Silva: I mean, you could tell me who is on the waiver wire and I can tell you if I’d make a move, but you’re obviously going to have some weak spots being in a deep roster 16 team league. All in all, your team looks pretty damn good, especially if Nylander comes back. He’s a huge help in deeper leagues.

As for Schmidt, I would hold him for now. He’s poor in hits for a defenseman which is unfortunate, but he’s good in blocks, is on the first pair, and is on PP2. Something similar to last year’s numbers (in terms of points per game) seems realistic, and that’s good enough to hold onto in this format.

      • Marco Aurélio Corrêa Cordeiro da Silva says:

Damn Viz, I forgut aout my waiver wire (drunkness has it’s problems, hahaha).
So here it goes some of the horror show:
Coleman, Wallmark, Carrier, Bozak, C.White, McGinn, Johansson, Nutivaara, Wagner, Rodrigues, Crouse, Bellemare, Comeau, Janmark, Brouwer, Sanford, Leivo, Erne… Gives a bad taste just to write it,hahaha. (But maybe you see some diamond in the middle of the trash).
        Thanks for the help Viz.

  5. Shitwolf says:

hey man wow great list must have taken some effort… what are your thoughts on petriengelo i have weber coming back and my worst drop as per last time was RNH. thanks dude

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Shitwolf: Thanks! Yeah, this usually takes me a while, but it’s worth it for everyone. He’s been picking it up a little bit; I still don’t love him but it’s hard to cut bait with how good he’s been in the past. RNH is getting big minutes since Hitchcock took over so I’d have a hard time cutting him. I’ve never been a big Weber guy, and his plus-minus could be a disaster, but if you’re okay with that I guess you’d have to dump Pietrangelo.

      • Shitwolf says:

thanks man… would you take weber over Mr P striaght up at this point? i could also always drop Parise as well

        • Shitwolf says:

          i [email protected]Shitwolf:

could also drop stall since hes low on my center depth too… keeping 5D would be good for the blks

          • Viz

            Viz says:

@Shitwolf: I assume you mean Eric? I wouldn’t be cutting him. I don’t trust Parise to keep it up but I’d have a tough time cutting him too at the moment. As for Weber vs. Pietrangelo, it depends solely on the cats you’re looking for.

            • Shitwolf says:

              appreciate the help man thanks

  6. Montezuma's Revenge ... right now says:

14 team dynasty with hits/blocks/PPP added. start 5 D. pretty deep benches too. i have karlsson, mcdonagh, ellis, spurgeon, pulock, oleksiak, petry and need to take edler off IR. who’s the drop. gotta be one of spurgeon/pulock here. spurgeon has been reported around here as a hits/blocks guy but he’s not at all a hits guy (.87 per this year, career .81) he used to be a blocks guy (career 1.65, some seasons right around 2 per) but now even that isn’t very high (1.3 this year). his shots are right around normal for him (1.56 career, 1.74 this year) but hit minutes are down a full 2 from the last 2 years when they were mid 24’s. pulock of course isn’t doing much either but is young still.
shots: 2.21 (not as good as last year’s awesome 2.71)
hits: 1.48 (down from last year)
blocks: 1.61 (up from last year a bit)

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Montezuma’s Revenge … right now: Oleksiak’s points are a complete fluke, but assuming you want to keep him for the gaudy hit totals, then I’d drop Rattie and figure it out later. If you wanted to rid of a D, I’d say Spurgeon with the decreased role and the fact that Pulock is on PP1 at the moment. That said, Rattie 100% needs to be dropped, he’s barely playing.

  7. Montezuma's Revenge ... right now says:

could also just drop rattie for now, he’s doing almost nothing on non-mcdavid line. leaves me with more D men than i’d normally use but later on i’d drop a D man when one of palat or oshie get back.

  8. Kevin says:

What do you think about this trade?

Giving up Boeser and Tkachuck for Elias Lindholm and Evander Kane?

    G,A,Pts, Shots,Hits,GWG,STP,Blocks

I’ve got vas, klingberg, and bergeron on my IR already, so trading Boeser is attractive

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Kevin: It’s close but I would hold. Boeser is supposed to be back tonight so that’s not a concern.

  9. Nathan says:

This article was great and a bit scary for my team of misfits.
Is there a team full of more underperforming players than what I have managed to acquire? It’s super frustrating because I think this should be solid team.

    C – A. Barkov
    C – D. Larkin
    L – N. Ehlers
    L – T. Hall
    R – B. Wheeler
    R – R. Rakell
    D – Gostisbehere
    D – Provorov
    D – OEL
    D – A. Ekblad
    U – T. Seguin
    U – V. Tarasenko
    B – T. Wilson
    B – S. Weber
    B – Z. Hyman
    B – C. Paquette
    G – DeSmith
    G – Grubauer
    G – Raanta
    G – Vasilevski
Oh and I lost Trochek same week as Vasilevski ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ had him after reading Kincaid for Trochek, that was nice for about a week.

    I mean it’s a mess. 3rd most shots, fewest goals in the league. 12 man daily (G, A, +/-, PIM, PP, GWG, S, H, B –
    W, L, Saves, Save%, GAA, SO)

Available Free Agents: (although I’m sure this is much more of a be patient than make move situation, it’s quite frustrating).
Kempny, M. Green, W. Carrier, T. Konecny, K. Hayes, Dzingle, Mantha, Shaw, Roussel, Reeves, to just name a few.

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Nathan: It’s probably work itself, at least I would imagine. Your core is very strong and that should fix things. That said, the bottom needs some work. Paquette and Hyman definitely need to go; they are worse than most of those guys on the wire. Konecny should 100% be owned so grab him, and then I’d probably go Mantha, although Hayes is a reasonable choice. I would also drop Ekblad, he’s just not good. Green is a much better choice.

  10. Spencer says:

    Viz! I need your help!

Elias Pettersson or Sean Monahan, who has better value / point projection rest of season (redraft league)?

    Thanks man!

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@Spencer: I would say that Pettersson will probably score a few more goals but Monahan will end up with more points on the back of say, 5-7 more assists. It’s super close so it depends what categories you are looking for. In terms of total value, I guess I slightly prefer Monahan since the shot rate is better and the minutes are higher.

  11. Gerald says:

@Gerald: I would cut Pionk at this point, and I like a few of these guys over Karlsson. That said, I don’t really like Hanifin, so whether or not you want to drop Pionk depends if you want to keep only 4D or hold onto 5. If you want to keep 5, then I guess I’d hold Pionk. As for who to add for Karlsson (and Pionk if you’re good with 4D), I like Duchene the most despite the low hits. After that, you can go a few different routes and depends what categories you’re looking for. All of those guys but Patches are in play.

I love this feature. It’s so hard to find good hockey content. Thanks!

@Ashtray: No problem! It seems to be well liked, so I’m leaning towards doing it at the end of every month now.
