I’ve long been a fan of Bobby McMann, but the early returns for Seattle blew my expectations out of the water. McMann scored two goals and an assist with four shots in his Kraken debut on Saturday against Vancouver, and followed it up with a goal and an assist with four shots against Florida on Sunday. He played over 18 minutes in both games slotting right onto the first line and second power play unit. With Seattle in the thick of a playoff race, I see no reason to expect McMann’s workload to decrease. That means a 20-25% boost in playing time compared to what he was getting in Toronto. Over the last three seasons, McMann is in the top 50 in the league in even strength goals per 60 minutes. Given that, I think he should be held in all formats for the time being. Let’s take a look at what else happened over the weekend:
Friday’s Games:
Emil Heineman – Two goals, both assisted by Bo Horvat. It’s been a decent first seaon in New York for Heineman, who has 18 goals. While he’s on the first line with Horvat and Barzal, he’s in the middling to solid streamer range.
Cam Fowler – Goal and an assist. I expected much better from Fowler this season. On the bright side, this game brought his assist streak to six straight games, and with Faulk gone, there’s a bit of hope for a turnaround. The problem is that St. Louis is incentivized to play their young guys. I’d leave Fowler for deep leagues.
Saturday’s Games:
Linus Ullmark – 23 save shutout in the 2-0 win over the Ducks. The Sens are a defensive juggernaut, so if Ullmark can play well, he can clearly be a #1 goalie down the stretch.
Shane Pinto – Two assists with three shots. Middling to solid streamer.
Charlie McAvoy – Two goals on three shots with two PIM. Very good chance for McAvoy to set a career high in points. He’s a solid #2 in 12’ers despite the poor shot rate.
Rasmus Sandin – Goal and an assist with four shots. He has some deep league value, but not quite enough for 12’ers.
Connor Hellebuyck – 28 saves on 29 shots in the 3-1 win over the Avalanche. If you have any doubt about what Hellebuyck can do on a given night, this proves he’s as good as anyone. I know this season has been rough, but you kind of have to keep rolling him out there and hope for the best.
Mark Scheifele – Two assists with a shot and two PIM. Kyle Connor had a goal and an assist. The Jets are creeping back into the playoff picture and while it might be a little too late, it’ll be these three that sneak them in if it happens.
Vladislav Gavrikov – Goal and two assists with six PIM. Gavrikov has more than doubled his previous career high in goals. Anything deeper than a 12’er, I’d use him.
Adam Fox – Two assists with two PIM. It’s no surprise that the Rangers are playing respectably now that they have Fox and Igor back in the fold.
Sebastian Aho – Goal and an assist with two shots and two PIM. Andrei Svechnikov also had a goal and an assist. The consistency from Aho is truly remarkable. He’s been within a 10-15 point range for eight years running.
Simon Holmstrom – Two goals. Holmstrom’s numbers are very similar to last season. Unfortunately, that’s only bottom end streamer range.
Artemi Panarin – Goal and two assists with two shots. Business as usual for Panarin in Los Angeles. It’s safe to say that he is what he is no matter what team he’s on.
Brandt Clarke – Three assists with a shot and two PIM. Clarke has eight points in his last seven games. He’s greatly benefiting from Panarin’s arrival as expected. I will be all in on him next season now that Hiller is gone.
Anze Kopitar – Two goals on five shots. Kopitar set the franchise record for points in this game, which is great to see. I don’t want to say he was underappreciated like people always do with guys like him and Barkov, but I will be sad after Kopitar’s last game.
Nico Hischier – Two goals and two assists with four shots. I said this a week or two ago, but I’m more than likely going to ignore this season for all Devils for my 2026-27 rankings. Hischier hasn’t been terrible, but I do think he gets back to his usual level.
Dougie Hamilton – Two assists with a shot and two PIM. I’m still dumbfounded that the Devils didn’t move him at the deadline. Hamilton has been playing much better and is a clear hold everywhere.
Timo Meier – Goal and an assist with two shots. The shot rate from Meier is where it used to be in his Sharks days. He’s on the fringe for now, as he’s capable of a huge heater.
Arseny Gritsyuk – Goal and an assist with five shots. Pretty good rookie year all things considered, but Gritsyuk is a middling streamer at best.
Macklin Celebrini – Two goals and an assist with three shots and two PIM. Nine game point streak with 100 on the season right around the corner.
Collin Graf – Goal and two assists with three shots. Elite streamer while on the first line.
John Klingberg – Two assists with a shot. He’s just on the outside looking in on 12’ers, so use him in anything deeper.
Noah Dobson – Two assists with a shot. The shots have dropped significantly, but it’s the points bounce back we hoped for from Dobson. Solid #3 in 12’ers.
Jet Greaves – 18 saves on 19 shots in the 2-1 SO win over Dan Vladar (27/28) and the Flyers. The Blue Jackets have been on a tear since Bowness took over, so look for Greaves to continue to be a solid #2.
Wyatt Johnston – Goal and an assist with two shots. Johnston is going to smash all of his previous career highs. Sure, the shooting percentage is a bit high, but he’s becoming a full blown superstar.
Erik Karlsson – Two assists with a shot. I was expecting a drop off from Karlsson this season, but instead, he’s got a good chance at 50+ assists. He’s a huge part of the Penguins defying expectations.
Anthony Mantha – Goal and an assist with five shots and two PIM. It’s been seven years since Mantha scored 25 goals, and his 26 assists are already a career high. I was all in when I first started at Razzball and it’s great to see the back issues behind him. Mantha is on the fringe with his current workload.
Parker Wotherspoon – Two assists. Don’t even think about it.
Yegor Chinakhov – Two assists with three shots. Every time that I watch Pittsburgh, Chinakhov is one of the best players on the ice. He’s an elite streamer at the very worst.
Dylan Guenther – Two goals on five shots. Guenther has become one of the best snipers in the game. He’s a clear top 50 player with upside if the playmaking increases.
Adin Hill – 21 save shutout in the 4-0 win over Chicago. This says more about Chicago than anything else right now, but Hill is going to have every chance to turn his season around down the stretch.
Pavel Dorofeyev – Two goals and an assist with five shots. Mitch Marner and Mark Stone each had two assists. Dorofeyev has basically doubled down on last season’s excellent goal rate while stumbling into a few more assists. He’s clearly a top 100 player, but projecting Dorofeyev going forward is one of the most difficult in the league.
Jordan Eberle – Three assists with a shot. Matty Beniers had a goal and two assists playing with McMann. Both are in solid streamer range.
Brandon Montour – Two assists with two shots. It’s been far from Montour’s best season (don’t forget he was the #1D in fantasy before), but he hits every category well enough that he’s a great fit for every fantasy team.
Sunday’s Games:
Haydn Fleury – Goal and an assist with three shots. Fleury had zero points in his first 24 games. Moving on…
Morgan Barron – Two assists. Barron has produced a bit more this season, but he’s only useful in the deepest of leagues.
Tyler Toffoli – Goal and an assist with two shots. Clear as day solid streamer.
Mario Ferraro – Goal and an assist with two shots. Not so often that Ferraro stumbles into points. Hits and blocks streamer for deep leagues.
Shakir Mukhamadullin – Two assists with two shots. The production isn’t there yet, but I watch the Sharks quite a bit and he’s starting to stand out a bit more on a regular basis. Mukhamadullin is worth monitoring.
Warren Foegele – Goal and an assist with two shots. I suspect that Foegele gets closer to his previous totals than what he did this season. That would put him in the middling streamer range.
Drake Batherson – Two goals on one shot. Yes, that’s correct, as Ferraro put the puck into his own net on a Batherson pass, while his other goal was a Zub shot that hit his chest and went in. Either way, you don’t see two goals on one shot too often!
Leo Carlsson – Two goals and an assist with five shots. The top line for Anaheim went off as Troy Terry had a goal and two assists in his return, while Chris Kreider had two assists with two shots. Carlsson has taken the leap to stardom as a 21 year old. Terry is worth holding everywhere while he’s at a point per game, while Kreider is an solid streamer.
Nick Suzuki – Goal and an assist with three shots. The goals are slightly down for Suzuki, but he’s got a chance for 70 assists, so nobody can complain.
Bo Groulx – Two goals. Groulx has three goals in four games after one goal in his previous 65 games combined. Nothing to see here. Welcome to the Razzball Database!
Vladimir Tarasenko – Two goals on four shots, both assisted by Mats Zuccarello and Ryan Hartman. I don’t know why it took until the third period to put Tarasenko in the top six considering they can use a goal scoring winger. We’ll have to see if he starts there next game, but he’ll be a solid streamer if he does.
Kaapo Kakko – Goal and two assists with four shots. He’s been a valuable player for the Kraken, but he doesn’t move the needle much for fantasy. Middling streamer.
Berkly Catton – Goal and an assist with two shots. The former first round pick is still only 20 years old, so there’s plenty to work with long term. Right now, there’s no value though. Welcome to the Razzball Database!
Jamie Oleksiak – Goal and an assist. And there’s your annual Oleksiak update!
Connor Ingram – 26 saves on 27 shots in the 3-1 win over the Predators. We know the risks of an Edmonton goalie, but Ingram is clearly the #1 at this point, so if you want to gamble, Ingram is your guy.
Connor McDavid – Three assists with two shots. His 24 minutes in this game feels low for what to expect from McDavid down the stretch. There’s no doubt that they’ll push him as much as possible to make the playoffs.
Three Point Challenge: We will do Tuesday’s games per usual. You can’t select McDavid, MacKinnon, Kucherov, Celebrini, Draisaitl, Scheifele, Necas, Pastrnak, Robertson or Kaprizov. Since I’m going to the game, I’m going to homer it up and take Tage in Vegas.
That’s all for now guys. As always, feel free to ask any questions, leave any comments, or give any suggestions below. MarmosDad will be back on Wednesday, while I will have an updated hold/stream list on Friday. Thanks for reading, take care!
