There’s a bunch of excitement in these parts!  Reid and I are back once again and this time, we’re back with a sponsor!  No Halftime, a daily fantasy sports app that baseball listeners should know, teams up with Razzball once again.  More details on that in the podcast; you can find their website to take a closer look at things here.  As always, we run through the latest injury news before we look at some recent developments.  Some of those include the Sabres PP with Jack Eichel back, Columbus exploding again, Anthony Mantha showing his upside and John Klingberg scratched yet again.  We follow that up with a segment about players who are back in form, most notably Mike Hoffman.  To wrap things up around the 48 minute mark, I talk about No Halftime and what they’re doing for us Razzballers before closing things with The Three Point Challenge.  All of that and more in the newest edition of the Razzball Hockey Podcast!

Thursday Streamers – Big slate of games tonight with 12 total on the docket.  Here are my top three streaming options:

Anthony Mantha (6.3%) – He should be owned.  He is available in over 90% of leagues.  As we discuss on the pod (spoiler alert!), take that change by streaming him and probably holding him

Drew Stafford (2.2%) – Stafford is back and was immediately placed on the second line with Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little.  Good enough for me against the Oilers.

Mikko Rantanen (8,5%) – Rantanen has 7 points in his last 5 games in an increased role.  The big minutes with Nathan MacKinnon put him firmly in streamer status and with a few more games like this, he could push being a hold.

  1. Rob says:

Brayden Schenn for the three…(plus a Gordie Howe hat trick and finally, I’m predicting he’ll have chicken salad for lunch)

    • Viz

      Viz says:

Haha I like all of it. They say the Ottawa chicken salad is as good as it gets! We are due for some more Gordie Howe hat tricks.

  2. The Lost Vikings says:

Richard Rakell for the 3 pt challenge. The canucks suck, even with the Viking cyborgs leading them.

    • Viz

      Viz says:

@The Lost Vikings: haha this is true; good luck!👍

    • Reid

      Reid says:

@The Lost Vikings: The blunt analysis of the Canucks is highly appreciated. I think the next podcast might involve a segment of teams/players that just outright suck.

      • Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves says:

@Reid: horvat in dynasties no joke. along with juolevi/boeser/demko and uh, ummm….. yuck.

  3. Veritas says:

Taylor Hall for the three point challenge

    • Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves says:

@Veritas: this dude is sick coming back this fast.

  4. Fungazi says:

    Voracek for the 3 pnt

  5. Montezuma's Revenge...right now says:

MF’er! i streamed gionta a game early (too many games today to even do it, plus steen’s back anyway, lost my stream spot).

for 16 team dynasty with hits/blocks i have all of these (too many guys getting healthy at same time): probably gotta drop one of these D men
provorov/nurse/seidenberg (way better this year than probably expected, lucky shot % of course)/doughty/gudas (can’t believe this guy was dropped early in year, just stupid in league like this, this guy is pretty much the new orpik with more expected PIMs, orpik used to be ELITE blocks + hits)/shattenkirk/pietro

      • Montezuma's Revenge...right now says:

@Montezuma’s Revenge…right now: oh yeah, i COULD also drop provorov to minors list (under 101 season games for skaters/under 51 for goalies they can stay on this protected list), my others right now:
barbashev C/LW STL (team is STL based so he’s a big deal)
        c.white C OTT (supposedly “bergeron-like”)
        n.schmaltz C CHI
        eriksson-ek C MIN
crouse LW ARI (pretty much nick ritchie clone with less upside, i also am starting n.ritchie)
kamenev LW NAS (maybe this guy has less value in hits/blocks but i’m not sure)

realizing i probably should show whole roster here (start real life rosters):
        C o’reilly/draisaitl/hanzal/stastny/pavelski
        LW fabbri/n.ritchie/steen/schwartz
        RW backes/eaves/rantanen/brouwer/stempniak (streamer)
        D (above)
G gibson/bishop (now 2 starts not him in a row, me no likely, esp since the VAS got killed last time out and still gets this one)
IR (anybody misses time for any reason can go here, suspended/inactive etc) oshie
