It's about that time to update my hold/stream list.
"Every 4-6 weeks during the season, I change things up and post a list of fantasy relevant players. I look at things from the perspective of a 12 player league, and put players into three categories. First, there are holds, who are players that should be on 100% of rosters. Next, there are players on the fringe, who you can make a case for holding depending on team needs, or at the least, they’re the best of the best for streaming. Lastly, there are streamers, who are worth using, but not worth holding. I will list streamers in order of preference (generally, I only want to stream forwards, not defensemen. Also, goalies will be last regardless of preference just to separate them). Assume that I am holding every #1 goalie unless otherwise noted, but I will mention the backups I want to use. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please let me know below. Be on the lookout for Evan’s post on Monday as well." And that's me copying and pasting me stealing what Grey does! And with that, let's get to it!
Hi all, and welcome to week six of the NHL season. I’ve been a little under the weather the past couple days so this is going to be a quick update this week but I’ve still got strength of schedule rankings and streaming targets for you, so let’s get right into it!
Busy nights in the league this week will be Thursday and Saturday which opens up the streaming field a bit more than usual. Those teams with the maximum amount of four games played are as follows (listed by strength of schedule):

It’s time to update my hold/stream list! Again, this is for 12 team leagues where you can stream with a set number of moves per week. I’m now going to have a section for goalies with what I’d do with the starter and if I’d use them, the backup. As always, feel free to leave any questions, comments, or suggestions below. Jules’ weekly streaming post will be out later today so be sure to check that out! And without further adieu…

It's time for the first hold/stream list of the season! For those that are new to this, it's simply a list of players for each team. The players listed will go under three categories: hold, fringe, and stream. I am assuming that this is a 12 team league where you can stream having a max numbers of move every week i.e. you can't go overboard cycling players. I am also going to assume your league has either PIM or hits, but not with faceoff wins or blocks. I will also assume that the #1 goalie for each team is a hold and the #2 is not unless otherwise noted. As always, feel free to ask any questions, give any comments, or leave any suggestions below. And away, we go!
We're down to the final two weeks of the season, and I hope that your fantasy seasons are still going. This week has a very strange schedule, so in this post, I'm going to break it down and show the best way to target streaming. Every move on the margin helps! Let's get to it!
Tonight, there are only three games. On Wednesday, there are also three games. There are no games on Friday, and only two games on Easter Sunday. On Tuesday, there are 11 games, there's 14 on Thursday, and the entire league plays on Saturday. It's extremely rare for every day to be all the way on one side of the spectrum. Here are the games that take place on the light days:
With the All-Star Break coming to a close and the schedule ready to pick up for the home stretch, it's time for an update to my hold/stream list. The one thing that I want to add is that for head to head leagues, I would be far more aggressive in cutting players that are missing time if you're in a battle for a playoff spot, and if you are locked into the top of your standings, I would be more focused on setting up my team for once the playoffs begin. In roto, it all depends where you are in terms of your starts. Let's get to it!
I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season! Hopefully you weren't stuck in your house like I was in Buffalo with this blizzard. Still haven't left my house since Thursday. Anyways, it's time for an updated hold/stream list since it's been about six weeks. For a refresher course of what I'm doing this year, instead of two separate categories, I’m going to do three now: hold, on the fringe between bottom end hold and elite streamer, and any level of streamer. This is for 12 team leagues. I will only make comments on certain players that I deem noteworthy, otherwise this will be purely a list. Assume that every starting goalie is worth holding unless noted otherwise, mostly by them being in the streaming category. Let’s get to it!
I haven't done an updated hold/stream list since the season started, so I'm going to do that today. This will be the last hold/stream list of the season as we're about a month away from the end of the regular season. My plan is to start working on the Playoff Manifesto on Tuesday with the hopes of having it ready on Friday for everybody. Per usual, there will be notes in the list where necessary. Assume a 12 team league and I'm holding the starting goalie only unless noted. Let's get to it!
