Hey guys! With the regular season over, we can crown the champion of the 2015-16 Razzball Commenter Leagues. As I mentioned in the March RCL update here , Lord of the Rinks has been in the front of the pack for quite some time now. He ended up running away with RCL 2, accruing an incredible 100 of a possible 108 points to become this year's RCL Champ! Congrats to him for a great season. Here's a look at the top finishers in each of the leagues:
We are in the stretch run of the fantasy hockey season and there's some exciting action in the RCLs. Let's take a quick look at who is at the top of each league as they battle it out for the title in each individual league and then the overall RCL champion:
It's been a while since I wrote a quick piece recapping the standings in the RCL and how things are shaping up. Now that we hit the halfway point, it's time to take another look and see how things are shaping up. Let's get right to it!
As far as fantasy disappointments go for this hockey season, Evgeni Malkin may have been right at the top going into this week. In 17 games, he had 12 points, which is far below his normal standards. On Tuesday, Malkin single-handedly beat the Wild, scoring two goals and adding two assists in the 4-3 win. Now, 16 points in 18 games with 18 PIM and a +5 doesn't look as bad. One more big game and Malkin is back to his normal levels. I assume this game kills the chance to buy low but I'd look to add as many of the top Penguins as possible in trades; you can't keep these superstars down.
Here's what else I saw on Tuesday night:
The Razzball Commenter Hockey Leagues are about a month in and it's about time to look at the standings, what players are pushing the top teams, etc. The standings are a bit skewed because the amount of starts people have made so far is all over the place. In some of the leagues, most people are rolling their rosters every day. Naturally, those people are way ahead for now but it will balance out when the people who are pacing their starts make their games. A reminder that in rotisserie leagues (like the RCLs), you have a set amount of starts for the season so if you don't want to run out of starts by the end of the year and miss out on games from your best players, you can't play every player in every game.
Here's a look at the leagues and I'll close with streamers for Tuesday:
Hey guys! The hockey season is only a couple days away and that means time is running out to join, or even better, create, a Razzball Commenter League. The first league is full but there is still room in the second and we'd like to have multiple drafts that go on Tuesday night before the season starts on Wednesday. Please follow the steps below to join or create a league to show your hockey prowess!
Hey guys! For those of you who have been reading the site for some time, you know that the other fantasy sports do Razzball Commenter Leagues. They are a way for everyone in the Razzball community to show their skills against each other, talk the sport they're playing and even talk some smack. It has been a while since there has been a hockey RCL, but we're bringing it back! Hopefully this will be a way to build up the hockey community and you might even win the grand prize! Here are the details:
