The Blues are making a real push for the playoffs, and one of their summer offer sheets is making a big push.  Dylan Holloway dished three assists on Tuesday, adding three shots in the 4-1 win over the Predators. All of a sudden, Holloway is up to 55 points on the season, with seven points in his last four games and twelve in his last ten. The Oilers could sure use a guy like Holloway right now. Well, maybe not Tuesday night, but the point stands. Worst case, Holloway is an elite streamer, but while he’s this hot with some great matchups on the horizon, I would hold him. Let’s take a look at what else happened over the last two nights:
Owen Power – Goal and two assists with two shots. Please. for the love of God, get Power a competent partner this summer. He’s on the fringe for now, but even without PP1 time because of Dahlin, Power should turn into a no brainer hold next season.
Jack Quinn – Two assists with a shot. I have no interest in Quinn in his current form.
Morgan Geekie – Goal and an assist with two shots. I have to be honest, I had no idea that Geekie has 23 goals already. The rest of his numbers are ugly though, so he’s a solid streamer.
Jake Allen – 45 saves on 46 shots in the 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets. Talk about stealing a game. Allen is getting plenty of starts and is a clear hold in all formats, even on a below average workload.
Andrei Vasilevskiy – 21 save shutout in the 2-0 win over the Flyers. It’s nice to see Vasilevskiy back to the level we’ve been accustomed to for almost a decade.
Nikita Kucherov – Goal and an assist with three shots. He’s not going to sniff last season’s crazy numbers, but Kucherov’s floor is so high that he’s going to push 120 points.
William Nylander – Goal and two assists with four shots.  Auston Matthews had two goals and an assist with five shots as the Flames had no answer for their big dogs. Nylander is a lock for 40+ goals for the third straight season. Matthews’ scoring is down quite a bit, but you still can’t rule out a huge finish.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Two assists. He’s done very little lately so I’d leave OEL for deep leagues.
Max Domi – Goal and an assist. Bottom end streamer.
Filip Gustavsson – 28 saves on 29 shots in the 3-1 win over the Kings. While it’s been up and down, everyone would have taken Gustavsson’s current numbers before the season started.
Jared Spurgeon – Two assists. Spurgeon is firmly on the fringe depending on team needs.
Logan Thompson – 23 saves on 24 shots in the 4-1 win over the Red Wings. Thompson has four regulation losses the entire season. Four!
Dylan Strome – Goal and an assist with two shots. Talk about finding the perfect fit. Strome’s career has completely taken off in Washington. Even with the poor shot rate, easy hold everywhere.
Aliaksei Protas – Two assists with two shots. In his first three years, Protas had 13+40 in 169 games. So of course, he has 29+32 in 68 games this year. What a breakout. Easy hold.
Kyle Palmieri – Goal and two assists with two shots. Middling to solid streamer range.
Noah Dobson – Goal and an assist with four shots. I don’t really know what to make of this season from Dobson. It’s been so bad, but I kind of want to throw it out the window when ranking for next season. He’s still a hold this season with his shot rate so hopefully there’s a big finish.
Dan Vladar – 12 saves on 13 shots in the 2-1 win over the Rangers. Considering the Flames were the team on the back to back, what an embarrassing Rangers performance. Don’t expect many Vladar games with Wolf’s play and the Flames pushing for the playoffs.
Travis Hamonic – Goal and an assist with four shots. And there’s your annual Hamonic update!
Christian Dvorak – Goal and three assists with two shots.  Brendan Gallagher had a goal and two assists with three shots. What year is it? Both of them turned back the clock for one game. Zero fantasy appeal here.
Josh Anderson – Two goals. He’s a fine deep league streamer for PIM and hits but that’s about it.
Jake Evans – Two assists with a shot. Ottawa really let the Montreal plugs destroy them on Tuesday, good lord.
Joel Hofer – 22 saves on 23 shots in the 4-1 win over the Preds. Nice run of games for Hofer, although Rutherford already said Binnington is starting in their massive showdown with the Canucks on Thursday.
Jordan Kyrou – Two goals on four shots. Hotter than a pistol!
Justin Faulk – Goal and an assist. With Parayko out, Faulk has taken on a bigger role again. He has a four game point streak so if you’re desperate for D help, you can do worse than Faulk.
Jake Neighbours – Goal and an assist with two shots and seven PIM. Solid to elite streamer while Neighbours is this hot.
Leo Carlsson – Two goals on three shots. I was hoping for a big step forward from Carlsson this season, but it hasn’t happened. He’ll be 20 through the first few months of next season, so there’s still plenty of time for him to put it together.
Thomas Harley – Goal and two assists. He’s a no brainer top ten defenseman the rest of the way.
Mikael Granlund – Two goals on four shots. Granlund has fallen off quite a bit in Dallas, although that was to be expected. The shot rate going down the tubes to below two per game puts him more in elite streamer range.
Roope Hintz – Two assists with two shots. After a horrendous start, Hintz isn’t that far off a point per game anymore.
Adam Larsson – Goal and two assists with two shots. Larsson’s first couple years in Seattle saw some insane hits and blocks totals, but that’s fallen off. Now, he’s a streamer for those categories, but far from a hold.
Andre Burakovsky – Two assists with a shot. Bottom end streamer at best.
Matty Beniers – Goal and an assist with two shots. He’s been better than last season, but it’s still another disappointing offensive year for Beniers. Middling streamer.
Shane Wright – Two goals on three shots. Talk about rounding into his own. The shot rate really needs to increase as he can’t shoot over 20% forever, but we could see the huge breakout next season.
Tyler Bertuzzi – Goal and an assist with two shots. I was hoping for a big year from Bertuzzi playing with Bedard, but it hasn’t happened for either of them. Bertuzzi is stuck as a bottom end streamer.
Calvin Pickard – 29 saves on 30 shots in the 7-1 win over Utah. It’s risky every time he starts, but Pickard is worth streaming most of the time for the high win probability.
Zach Hyman – Two goals and an assist with seven shots and two PIM. A drop off from last season was a certainty, but I didn’t expect one this big. I’ve stubbornly held Hyman all season and I see no reason to change that.
Mattias Ekholm – Goal and two assists, as did Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid. I’ve also stubbornly held Ekholm since it’s decent enough across the board. Could we see a big RNH finish?
Brock Boeser – Two goals and an assist. Very rough season for Boeser. The upside is undeniable, but I have him in the solid streamer range.
Pius Suter – Two goals on five shots. Suter quietly has 20 goals, but he’s a bottom end streamer..
Quinn Hughes – Two assists. Business as usual.
Nils Hoglander – Goal and an assist. Hoglander’s offense has completely dried up this season. Nothing for fantasy.
Three Point Challenge: We will do Thursday’s games per usual. You can’t select MacKinnon, Draisaitl, Kucherov, McDavid, Connor, Pastrnak, Marner, Eichel, Bratt, or Makar. I’ll go with Keller against the Sabres.
That’s all for now guys. I’ll be back on Friday recapping the action from the next two nights. As always, feel free to ask any questions, leave any comments, or give any suggestions below. Thanks for reading, take care!
Barkov for 3!
Guenther for 3 vs buffalo.
At this point of the season, would you drop Swayman for Montembeault?
Hmm, that’s close actually. I’d be ok either way but I guess I slightly lean towards keeping Swayman
