Hey everyone!  Reid is back this time around running down the recent developments around the league.  We start off with the Michael Stone trade and discuss if there’s a comparable to what the Kings did with DeMarcus Cousins. From there, we rundown injuries, discuss Claude Julien going to Montreal, Florida’s amazing road trip and the unlikelihood of Antoine Roussel‘s hat trick with Michael Haley‘s two point game.  Afterwards, Reid and I help you out through this week by highlighting the teams with bye weeks and running down each team’s holds and cuts.  As always, we wrap things up with the Three Point Challenge.  Be sure to make your picks below.  All of that and more in the latest edition of the Razzball Hockey Podcast brought to you by SeatGeek, Draft and FanPicks!

Tuesday Streamers:

Ryan Strome (8.2%) – We talked about him as well during this podcast.  More details there but this a nice spot to use him against Detroit while he’s hot.

Zack Smith (13.2%) – With all of their injures, Smith should have a big role tonight against the Devils.  Nice combo of potential goals and PIM.

Mathieu Perreault (1.8%) – Getting exposure to Jets vs. Maple Leafs and Lighting vs. Oilers seems ideal.  There isn’t really anyone standing out in the second game so give me Perreault as he rides a three game point streak and increased minutes into this game.

@Fungazi: Good point, definitely a nice spot to use both in DFS and this. Good luck!

@Saints: Sounds good, yeah he was definitely on my list, I like all of the guys in that game but decided Kucherov against Edmonton was a nice spot as well. The only good thing is that it’s a brutal week for most people, hopefully you are matched up with somebody going through the same problems you are.

  3. Reimer has been on fire and seems to have stolen the No.1 job from Luongo. Since January 14 Reimer is 6-0-1 in 8 games, with a 2.02 GAA & 0.929 SV%. He’s starting 2 games to Luongo’s one lately. Reimer may be the starter for the Panthers in the postseason. We have a 3 goalie max. and I have Rinne, Craig Anderson & Lou. Should I consider dropping Lou for Reimer? Hellebuyck is also available. Thanks Viz.

@madden_curser: Man, this is tough. The first game of those two in three games was Reimer’s because Luongo was hurt the night before, just want to clarify that. I see it going forward as a basically even split so it’s a lot of guesswork as to who will be better the rest of the way. The only hesitation I have is that if Luongo is dropped, he will probably be grabbed right away but Reimer probably wouldn’t just because it’s a bit under the radar. I hate copping out and saying you can do what you want so I’d say it’s a bit of a gamble cutting Luongo but a gamble I’d be willing to take if you wanted to.

      • @Viz: I had the same impression right now, so I will hold on Luongo and keep an eye on the situation. I knew u didn’t have a crystal ball, but thought I should throw that bye you. I wish I could own both and stream them. The team has been much improved since Barkov & Huberdeau returned, but only 3 G slots. Apparently Hellboy is not an upgrade either. What if Marc-Andre Fleury is traded to a contender to start? Would you drop Luongo to pick him up? Just thinking ahead. Thanks as always Viz.

@madden_curser: it definitely makes some sense, like I said I just think you could get screwed more easily cutting Luongo. It is rough you can’t stream. Hellboy may get more starts than those guys but they won’t be as good.

As far as MAF goes, it would depend where he goes. I don’t see many goalies moving. If say, the kings get bad news on quick and got him, then he would be a great option. Otherwise I don’t see a fit for MAF barring a late injury to a goalie
