Reid and I are back and this time I’m fired up!  We talk about a wide variety of topics ranging from J.T. Miller‘s ceiling, Max Pacioretty and Jeff Carter with four point nights, laughing at the Stars for scoring on their own net and the ridiculous offsides review in the Wild-Blackhawks game.  As always, we finish things up with The Three Point Challenge for Saturday’s games.  Be sure to make your picks in the comments section below before the player’s game starts on Saturday.  All of that and more in the latest edition of the Razzball Hockey Podcast sponsored by Seatgeek, Draft and FanPicks!

Thanks for the pod i wanted to pick benn but im too late so im going to the tampa game but to the other side I’m going with laine as scheifele is blocked 🙂

  2. David Backes was promoted to the top line with Patrice Bergeron & Brad Marchand. Beleskey was promoted to the second line with David Krejci, while David Pastrnak was demoted there from the Bergeron-Marchand line.

WTF Viz?! Pastrnak has 5 goals in 3 games & 9 pts in 4. 25 snipes in 50 games — that’s the number of goals he had in his previous 2 seasons. 20 years old, He is tied with Mark Scheifele & Matthews for 8th in the NHL in goals. He’s 20th in overall scoring, at 20. How does he get demoted?! Is this just a poor choice of words from ESPN? How does a new coach demote production like that?

      Viz says:

@madden_curser: I mean, they can call it a demotion because he did switch lines but I’m not looking at it that way at all. Pastrnak is still on the first power play unit (scored two goals there late last week) and Krejci is in form right now. This actually should help Pastrnak get his shot totals back up too. It’s an attempt for more balance in Boston and more importantly, for our purposes, it doesn’t really change much for the top guys.
