There was a lot of action in the NHL over the last few nights so Reid and I are back to bring you up to date.  We start with the trades (Ben Bishop to Los Angeles, Martin Hanzal to Minnesota and Patrick Eaves to Anaheim) and look at the fantasy impacts for players on both sides.  From there, we recap the latest injuries, the hottest players around the league and incompetence behind the bench in Buffalo.  From there, we wrap things up with The Three Point Challenge.  Be sure to make your picks in the comments section below.  All of that and more in the latest edition of the Razzball Hockey Podcast brought to you by Harry’s Razors, Seatgeek, Draft and FanPicks!

Tuesday’s Streamers:

Frank Vatrano (8.0%) – He has four goals and three assists in the last six games.  The minutes are down a bit lately which is odd but I still love the spot against the Coyotes.

Andreas Athanasiou (3.3%) – He’s been cold lately but the Canucks are really hurting right now with a decent portion of their roster having the mumps.  Athanasiou remains in the top six so look for him to get back on the board tonight.

Mikko Rantanen (11.7%) – The Flyers are a mess defensively at the moment.  I think the first line for Colorado can cause them some issues so I’ll use Rantanen, who has a point in four of his last five games, as a nice streamer in all leagues.

Greetings from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.

Just popped off a trade yesterday where I moved the lone Finn on my team to purify the viking bloodline prospects moving forward.

Traded away Mikael Granlund and my last round pick (12th round) for Viktor Arvidsson and the worst team in the leagues first round pick.

    It’s a five man keeper h2h league with goals/assists/plus minus/power play points/hits/blocks/wins/gaa/sv%/shutouts

This is the roster after the trade

    C: Alexander Wennberg
    C: RyJo
    W: Filip Forsberg
    W: Viktor Arvidsson
    W: Nikolaj Ehlers
    W: William Nylander
    D: Erik Karlsson
    D: Oliver Ekman-Larson
    D: Oscar Klefbom
    UTL: Patric Hornqvist

    Mats Zuccarello
    Mika Zibanajed
    Adam Larsson
    Hampus Lindholm
    Rickard Rakell

    G: Frederik Andersen
    G: Robin Lehner

Was sitting in first place at the time, do you think this will drastically effect this season’s prospects? Even long term? What made me the most moist about doing it, besides the returning of a lost viking home, is now having Smashville’s power line. Would like to hear your thoughts.

For the 3 point challenge: Gotta go with Filip Forsberg has he continues to lay waste to the peasants in their thatched roofed cottages.

@The Lost Vikings: The hammer of the Gods… It seems like a pretty good deal to me, you may take a marginal hit right now but getting what effectively is the 61st pick in the draft is well worth the move. It shouldn’t make much of a difference for this season but helps more long term so I’m for it.

Forsberg is obviously a great pick the way he is destroying everything in his path, good luck!

I’m taking Voracek as my bounce back guy against the avalanche i hope he gets 3 Points 🙂

The Shattenkirk trade is making me very happy i hope Parayko picks it up quickly and goes nuts. This could help my playoff push big time 🙂

@Saints: Very nice spot for him, good luck! Yeah, Parayko is potentially a big winner here. I’ll cover that in my posts for tomorrow but you have to be thrilled owning him.
