Reid joins me once again to discuss the last few nights of hockey.  We open things up with a big Razzball announcement; a meeting at spring training of the writers and readers!  I give the current details to that; I’ll be sure to update when I have then.  Then we thoroughly recap all of the games on Monday and Tuesday.  Highlights include the Penguins massacre of the Coyotes, the amazing story of Derek Ryan and the wild 8-6 affair in Carolina.  From there, we preview all of the games on Thursday including some bargain basement plays for DFS and our Three Point Challenge Picks.  All of that and more on the latest edition of the Razzball Hockey Podcast brought to you by Seatgeek, No Halftime and FanPicks!

Thursday’s Streamers:

Jason Zucker (10.8%) – Going back to the well with a red hot Zucker who has points in 8 of his last 10 games (10 total points).

Brandon Pirri (6.3%) – The Stars have a horrible penalty kill that’s currently sitting at 76.6%.  I think this has potential to be an open game and I’ll take the spot with Pirri.

Zach Hyman (1.7%) – He’s more of a deep league play but I’m okay with using Hyman as a streamer in all leagues.  Exposure against Arizona is always a good thing.

Would you move MacKinnon for Perry?

@Shaun: Hmm, that’s close. I lean MacKinnon in standard leagues but I think I prefer Perry with the addition of hits.

Reinhart struggling on his new line. Should I let him go or be patient and wait for him to get into a groove again?

@Scott: ? The lines have been that way for one game and he scored. Yes, he’s been cold but it’s not goals related. I’d hold because the Sabres have a ton of good matchups in the coming two weeks

real far ahead in goalie stats in my roto leageu so im looking to move dubs for a lw or rw to help in goals and +/- which are my weaknesses. what do you think about dubs and ehlers for jake allen and laine?

    • Viz

      Viz says:
      (link)

@Vic: I don’t think you’re getting enough back for Dubnyk even if you are far out in front. There’s still a lot of time left for you to lose your lead but more importantly, Laine doesn’t move the needle enough, especially if you’re giving up Ehlers too. I would honestly want both of them for Dubnyk or I’d want someone better than Laine.

      • Vic says:
        (link)

@Viz: sounds good man. ill keep shopping thanks. who would you target one for dubs at lw or rw given the cats i need?

        • Viz

          Viz says:
          (link)

@Vic: Maybe Pavelski? Add a second piece to Dubnyk if you have to. That might be aiming too high though, maybe a Wheeler? A more proven high end guy who should have a better plus-minus that Laine.

Letang out a couple weeks. Is Shultz the Penguins D to add?

    • Viz

      Viz says:
      (link)

@No Avatar: Definitely. I’ve wrote about him for the last 2 weeks saying I’d own Schultz in 12’ers but now, it’s not even close, Schultz should be owned in all leagues.

I havent heard the whole podcast but i think laine is not in the top 10 so i take him tonight i think the panthers are not verygood right now and laine had a little drought its time for a big game 😉
