And we’re back!  As always, Reid joins me to take a look at what’s developed around the league the last couple nights.  We start off with a talk about the Thursday games we are looking forward, focusing mostly on the Jets, before doing our usual injury rundown.  After that, we get to recaps of the last two nights with Pittsburgh’s crazy 8-5 win over the Senators on Monday getting the focus before we touch on every game on Tuesday night.  We conclude with more discussion of Thursday night’s games including our Three Point Challenge picks.  All of that and more in the latest edition of the Razzball Hockey Podcast!

EDIT: The podcast should be available everywhere.  It may not know how long it is until you click on it and it downloads but it’ll work.

Thursday Streamers:

Conor Sheary (15.2%) – Going back to the well here.  Sheary is still on the first line and that’s plenty good enough to stream.

Matthew Tkachuk (15.9%) – Honestly, take you pick out of the Flames going against the Coyotes.  I lean towards Tkachuk for big penalty minute potential with a solid chance for a point.

Marian Gaborik (12.2%) – He’s back and playing on the top line for the Kings.  The Hurricanes are on a back to back and blew the game against the Ducks Wednesday.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Kings role.

Would you trade letang couture and Neal for Webber foesberg and Hoffman?

@Newbvick: No, I would hold. Letang is better than Weber and Neal is the best forward by a decent margin of the 4. I guess I would say Letang > Weber, Neal > Hoffman, Couture = Forsberg right now although I do favor Forsberg a bit going forward.

Sounds good, he is hot right now… I mean, I guess I’d cut Marchessault if you need to. The other four guys are must own right now; I wouldn’t drop them for any of the other three guys. I do think Landeskog should be owned but not at the expense of your healthy 4.

Jakub Voracek for the three point challenge.

What kind of return should one expect for Quick in a keeper league? The stats for the league are G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, W, GAA, SO and SV%

@Veritas: Man, it’s so hard to say with him being injured. Given that he’s 30 years old, probably somewhere around a top 50ish player? Maybe slightly worse given that he’s hurt right now? It’s so hard to judge what others will value him at. A team that isn’t doing well may want to “tank” right now / add pieces for the next few years so Quick is more valuable to him while the people that are contending probably aren’t looking to give up someone who is helping them now who is out for another couple months in all likelihood.

    Bergeron for 3 pnt

  7. I have Craig Anderson but he off support of his wife and is only listed as DTD. I have 5 moves/week and 3 goalie max. I also have Luongo & Rinne. Petr Mrazek, Cam Ward, Elliott, Vasilevskiy, Niemi, Lehtonen, Ryan Miller, Scott Darling, Mike Condon & Greiss are all out there on waivers (10 Team). Should I hold on Anderson and hope he plays or goes to IR? Maybe scoop up Mrazek & hold, or just stream best available goalies to maximize weekly points? Thanks again Viz!

    • Viz

      Viz says:

Well I don’t see Anderson going on IR at any point, I just want to rule that out. Can you afford to use the majority of your moves per week to stream goalies? That would probably be the best move given that I expect Anderson to be leaving fairly frequently at this point. If you can’t do that, I’d grab Darling for the next week or two before Crawford gets back and then revisit the situation.
