Well, this was supposed to be a podcast but as I was about to upload it, I realized there was some technical difficulties in the recording.  Some of Reid’s recording somehow disappeared so there were a couple prolonged periods of silence from when he was talking.  I apologize for that so I’ll summarize what we were thankful for during the podcast.  I was thankful for a sneaky good Calder race, coaches rolling their top lines to make up for lack of depth, Vegas being relevant, and Rasmus Dahlin headlining a solid 2018 draft at the top.  Reid was thankful for the Oilers being bad to punish Peter Chiarelli’s awful decision making, teams being rewarded for having speed and skill, along with Johnny Gaudreau.  We also made Three Point Challenge picks for both Wednesday’s and Friday’s Games.  Reid took Tavares on Wednesday with Hall on Friday while I took Forsberg and Eichel respectively.  Be sure to make your picks in the comments section below.

Wednesday Streamers:

Kevin Fiala (4.8%) – He’s found amazing chemistry with Kyle Turris since the blockbuster trade and Smashville gets a struggling Montreal team on the second of a back-to-back at home.  Great spot for Fiala.

Nick Schmaltz (10.5%) – Schmaltz had six assists in the past three games playing over 18 minutes in all of them.  I’ll take an extra piece in a Chicago-Tampa Bay game that should be high scoring.

Devin Shore (1.1%) – Shore has fit in well on the revamped second line in Dallas with Seguin and Spezza.  As long as Shore is on the first power play unit, he’s in play for streaming.  A night against Colorado is a solid spot.

    Hey Viz,

Ok so i pulled the trigger and dropped Gentzel.
So now I’m trying to decide whether or not to play Nino over Pastrnak tonight. Pastrnak has been struggling a bit and Nino has been red hot. Basically trying to decide which 3 to play of Nino, Anders Lee and Pasta tonight? Lee is @home facing the tired Flyers who played last night. Pasta is @NJ and Nino is @Buf

@JJ: Oh boy, that’s tough. I think I would lean towards sitting Pasta but that’s a brutal call. I feel like Lee is automatic right now so it’s between him and Nino. Marchand being out has really hurt the top line for Boston and the Sabres are a damn mess so I’d lean towards going with Nino. Any picks for three points tonight or Friday? Can’t be any one in the top 10 in scoring.

Is it time to drop Klefbom in a points league? Possible replacements are Shea Theodore, Zaitsev, Orlov, Rutta, or Eric Johnson.

@fleeced: Man, I’m probably holding if those are the options although Johnson is somewhat appealing given the minutes. Depends a bit on your point system.
