Hi all, and welcome to week 11 of the NHL season. Normal schedule this week but be prepared for next week with the Christmas Holiday (there will be no games on Tue/Wed/Thurs i.e. Christmas Eve, Christmas day, AND the day after Christmas).  As it’s a typical weekly schedule of games our off-days this week are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. With the remaining days being busy days around the league. The top teams are listed in order by strength of schedule and opponent in the table below. The two teams playing only 2 matches this week are Vegas and the Islanders. I know that Barzal is coming off IR and may be on some waiver wires but resist the temptation to pick him up at least until Saturday if possible. Top Streaming Team Schedules for the Week:
Hi all, and welcome to week 10 (wow!) of the NHL season. Fairly normal week again this week but actually a limited number of great streaming options as our “off” days this week are pretty light on the total number of games each day. Especially Wednesday and Friday.  As it’s a typical weekly schedule of games our off-days this week are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. With the remaining days being busy days around the league. The top teams are listed in order by strength of schedule and opponent in the table below. Note: Both Columbus and St. Louis also play four games this week but are not featured on this table. This is due to the fact that they both play three of their games on busy nights and their one off-night isn’t until Sunday. However, do keep in mind that both teams are an option for a Sunday stream if needed! The only two teams playing less than three games this week are Washington and Dallas (sad to see it, but their time was due as they’ve been riding high with great schedules for weeks now).
Hi all, and welcome to week 9 of the NHL season. We’re back to a more normal schedule this week, no Holidays, lots of games, and a few good streaming options. As it’s a typical weekly schedule of games our off-days this week are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. With the remaining days being busy days around the league. The top 9 teams by strength of schedule (which encompass all of the teams playing the league high of 4 games this week) are listed in the table below. The 3 three teams who play only 2 games this week are: Anaheim, L.A., and Tampa.
Hi all, and welcome to week 8 of the NHL season. This week has a really weird and not at all fantasy-conducive schedule due to the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday. I will as usual do my best to give you some streamers to pickup as well as teams to target and/or avoid for this week but be aware that the schedule is tight. You may need to stream players specifically for the two off-nights this week and not necessarily for their entire weekly schedule.
Hey all, and welcome to week seven of the NHL season! This week features a slightly more open-ended schedule Monday through Thursday with just about half the league playing each night. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are a different story. Friday includes only two games (Buffalo @ Anaheim and Winnipeg @ Pittsburgh), Saturday is very busy and has all but two teams (Anaheim and Toronto) playing, and Sunday has just a single game on the slate (Utah @ Toronto). So take a look ahead at the schedule and plan your streaming pickups accordingly based on your roster!
Hi all, and welcome to week six of the NHL season. I’ve been a little under the weather the past couple days so this is going to be a quick update this week but I’ve still got strength of schedule rankings and streaming targets for you, so let’s get right into it! Busy nights in the league this week will be Thursday and Saturday which opens up the streaming field a bit more than usual. Those teams with the maximum amount of four games played are as follows (listed by strength of schedule):
Hi all, and welcome to week 5 of the NHL season. We have a more narrow schedule this week than last. With a limited slate of games on the typical “off-days” i.e. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Monday especially is light with only two games being played across the entire league. So, without further adieu let's take a look at our best streaming options for the week:
Hi all and welcome to week 4 of the NHL season. This week features a bit more of an "open" schedule that includes a larger number of teams playing the week high of four total games. This is good news, as it gives us a bit more to work with in terms of streaming players or at least more options than we’ve had in weeks 1-3 where there were generally only 3-4 teams max worth streaming.
Good morning all, welcome to week 3 of the NHL season. Let’s begin per usual today with our best and worst team schedules for the week: This week we have a total of 5 teams playing 4 games, listed here in descending order by strength of schedule we have: New Jersey, Philly, Toronto, Tampa, and Detroit. Out of the 5 only the Devils and Flyers play on two “off-nights” and with only a single game being played on either Monday or Wednesday and all 32 teams playing on Tuesday those off-nights are extra valuable this week. Additionally, the worst team schedules for the week go to: Vancouver, Columbus, and Buffalo. Again, listed in descending order by strength of schedule. All 3 of these teams play only 2 games this week and all of those games will be played on “busy nights” in the league. As such, if you have any players on your roster that were either streams or are borderline droppable from any of these three I highly recommend you look into swapping them out if possible with a player from one of the teams with a stronger schedule above.
Hi all, and welcome to the first edition of the weekly Monday fantasy hockey “Cheat Sheet” where each week I’ll be giving you a quick rundown of schedules to targets, priority waiver adds, trade for and/or trade away candidates, and more! To kick things off let’s take a look at this week’s schedule: The teams who play four games this week include: Colorado, Pittsburgh, LA, San Jose, Florida (the Panthers), and New Jersey. Out of those teams both Colorado and Pittsburgh play all four of their games on off-nights and are thus our priority waiver targets for this coming week. However, I do recommend checking your roster schedule before making any changes to ensure you’re not giving up a Monday/Tuesday back to back start for a Monday/Wednesday start before dropping anyone and picking up an Av’s or Penguins player for the week (the Panthers and the Devils are our two Monday/Tuesday start teams this week).
