Remarkably, we’re only one month away from the start of the NHL season, so it’s time to get things rolling at Razzball Hockey! Today, I’m simply going to give you a preview of what’s coming on the site over the next month, along with some other small things that I would like some feedback on.
To start things off, I’m going to do a rundown of each conference focusing on the players that are new to each team, and the holes that are opened up in each lineup that will provide opportunities for others. Expect the Eastern Conference to be out on Friday, while the Western Conference will be out early next week. From there, I will get into my usual format for releasing rankings. That means I start with a Top 10 and a Top 20 overall, before moving to individual positions. The posts will be in groups of 20 players, going through approximately 100 forwards, 60 defensemen, and tiering all goaltenders. There will be a “best of the rest” post, focusing on late round players that I am targeting to close my drafts. I will conclude everything with my Top 200. Depending on the timeline, I may post the Top 200 out of order, which is simply going to be a list. All of the details behind my rankings will be in the individual position posts.
If there is a specific topic that you want me to cover in the preseason, please let it be known in the comments section below. I have a little bit of flexibility, especially if we get additional writers to join (more on that next). At the end of the day, I’m here to help you out with your fantasy leagues, and the easiest way to do that is through writing about what you want me to, and by you asking questions in the comments section.
I’m looking for people who are looking to join the Razzball Hockey team and write some posts. If you’re interested, please let me know in the comments section and we’ll go from there. I am flexible in terms of what you write about, and how often you’re contributing to the website. For now, that’s it as I wanted to touch base with everyone and to let you know that I’m back for another year at the fantasy sports mecca. I look forward to hearing feedback from everyone, and I’m excited to get the ball (puck) rolling again. Thanks for reading, take care!
Pumped for the new season Viz
Couple questions for you
Is there any way to access your rankings early, maybe through a Patreon ?
Also, I’m in a handful of hockey leagues looking for managers, any idea how I can get them some attention ?
Glad to hear it… I don’t have anything set up. When is your draft? Maybe I can work something out. I’ll put something in my next post (should come out Friday afternoon) about people looking for new leagues. Are they free or for money?
So I have many drafts that need managers lol
They are all Yahoo Public Prize leagues
Have a laundry list of them, total is 20..
Hey Viz! Hardcore baseball Razzballer here (currently trying to close out my second RCL win in a row!), but looking to get back into fantasy hockey again this season. Haven’t played since the pandemic shut down the 2020 season.
Any suggestions for solid, competitive RCL-like leagues out there? My son and I are huge hockey fans here in STL and both wanting to play.
Let me know! Looking forward to your content here!
Hey there! Best of luck in your RCL!
You’re looking for free leagues, yes? I’m going to try to set up a few hockey RCL’s this year. It’s a bit tougher to manage with it only being me as a permanent fixture on the hockey side of things, but we’re far enough ahead of the season starting that we should be able to get a few going. I can probably get you hooked up with some leagues, free or for money, one way or the other. I’d guess that in the next week, things will start to round into shape.
Awesome, sounds good! And yep, just looking for a solid free league.
Good morning,
I’m a long time reader and life long hockey fan. I am an engineer and project manager by day, but would love to potentially contribute to the Razzball hockey team and write some posts!
I look forward to discussing further! Happy Friday all.
Hey RedJP! Can I reach out to you at the email address you used to make this post?
Hey Viz,
Yes you most certainly can! I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey Viz! I’m your predecessor, JD! I’ll love to rejoin the team and start contributing this season. Let’s sync up when you have time to discuss
Damn, that has to be from a long time ago because this is year 10 for me! Can I email you at the address you used to make this comment?
