An annual tradition in these parts, it’s time for the Playoff Manifesto!  This is targeted towards head to head leagues for your fantasy playoffs, but streaming wise, it still holds value for those in roto leagues.  For each team, I am going to list how many games they have in each of the last five weeks in parentheses.  Obviously if your playoffs don’t start until next week, you can ignore the first number, and if your finals cover the last two weeks because the last week is a shorter week, combine the two.  I will list all of their games on light days below this, and then I will have a list of all light games at the bottom.  I will consider any day on the schedule that has four or less games to be a light day.  Those days are the best for streaming so give them extra focus for your planning.  Let’s get to it!

ANAHEIM DUCKS (3,3,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/13, 3/15, 3/17, 4/5, 4/9

Number of back to back sets: 2

Elite streaming team this week and the second last week of the season.

ARIZONA COYOTES (3,4,3,3,2)

Light day games: 3/22, 3/24, 3/31, 4/3

Number of back to back sets: 3

Great streaming team next week, although their options are lacking.

BOSTON BRUINS (4,4,4,3,2)

Light day games: 4/9

Number of back to back sets: 4

Heavy on games early, but they’re on busy days.

BUFFALO SABRES (4,3,3,3,4)

Number of back to back sets: 4

Light day games: 3/13, 3/15, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/14

The Sabres schedule is arguably the best for streaming.  They have 4 games in the last week of the season, the only team to do so.

CALGARY FLAMES (3,4,3,3,2)

Light day games: 3/31, 4/12

Number of back to back sets: 2

Pretty ugly schedule outside of playing on 4/12 for some last minute streaming.

CAROLINA HURRICANES (3,4,4,3,3)

Light day games: 3/17

Number of back to back sets: 4

A lot of games and back to backs, so even though there’s only one light day game, there’s plenty of usefulness here.

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS (3,4,3,3,3)

Light day games: None

Number of back to back sets: 2

Thankfully we don’t want to stream from Chicago anyways because this schedule is brutal.

COLORADO AVALANCHE (4,4,3,4,3)

Light day games: 3/13, 3/15, 3/22, 3/24, 3/29, 4/19, 4/14

Number of back to back sets: 4

The best schedule there is.  It’s just like Buffalo’s but with an extra game in total to counter having one less game in the final week.

COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS (4,3,4,3,3)

Light day games: 3/17, 3/24, 4/14

Number of back to back sets: 4

The Blue Jackets are a mess, but they do have some decent streaming options to take advantage of their back to backs.

DALLAS STARS (4,3,3,3,3)

Light day games: 3/13, 3/31, 4/3, 4/12

Number of back to back sets: 3

Schedule is lacking in games, so mostly I’d look to take advantage of their back to backs with 3/31 and 4/12 included.

DETROIT RED WINGS (2,4,4,3,3)

Light day games: 3/31

Number of back to back sets: 3

Detroit has very little appeal to me.  Their back to back that includes their light day is Carolina followed by at Winnipeg.

EDMONTON OILERS (3,3,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/22, 4/5

Number of back to back sets: 2

Bad schedule all around.  Thankfully their team is studs and duds anyways so streaming options are limited.

FLORIDA PANTHERS (2,4,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/29

Number of back to back sets: 2

Their 3/29 and 3/30 back to back is really the only time worth targeting them.

LOS ANGELES KINGS (3,3,4,3,2)

Light day games: None

Number of back to back sets: 2

They close two weeks with back to backs which is the only time that makes sense to stream a King.

MINNESOTA WILD (3,3,3,3,3)

Light day games: 3/15, 3/29 4/3

Number of back to back sets: 2

One of their back to back sets are when both days have 10 games.  They close a week with one back to back.  Outside of that, there’s no appeal here at all.

MONTREAL CANADIENS (4,3,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/13, 4/12

Number of back to back sets: 3

The 4/12 and 4/13 back to back is against the Isles and Bruins, not exactly teams we look to stream against.  Pretty ugly overall.

NASHVILLE PREDATORS (4,4,3,4,3)

Light day games: 4/3, 4/14

Number of back to back sets: 4

Amazing schedule here.  Eighteen games, and they get to play on the last day of the season when there’s only two games.  With all of their trades, there will be plenty of opportunity for young players that can be strong streamers.

NEW JERSEY DEVILS (4,3,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/24

Number of back to back sets: 3

None of the back to backs are in the last two weeks, so the Devils are a good team to use in the next couple weeks and then abandon ship.

NEW YORK ISLANDERS (3,3,4,2,2)

Light day games: 3/15, 3/24, 3/29, 4/12

Number of back to back sets: 3

There’s a couple back to backs that overlap with a light day so that’s the time to use Islanders.  I’m not sure I’d hold any of their guys the last two weeks outside of Sorokin with only four games.

NEW YORK RANGERS (4,3,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/31, 4/5

Number of back to back sets: 3

Both light days come in a back to back.  Who knows what the Rangers lines will be tomorrow, let alone when we want to stream them.

OTTAWA SENATORS (3,4,4,3,2)

Light day games: None

Number of back to back sets: 2

Really rough schedule for streaming.  They close a week with a back to back with Toronto and Columbus.  That’s the only time it really makes sense to stream a Senator.

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS (3,3,4,4,2)

Light day games: 3/17, 4/9

Number of back to back sets: 3

It’s against Boston, but the 4/9 game is a Sunday when there are only two games.  Be ready to throw a Hail Mary streaming a Flyer.

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS (3,4,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/22

Number of back to back sets: 2

Their first back to back is at Colorado and at Dallas.  Pass.  The second one is Boston and Philly.  Really bad streaming schedule.

SAN JOSE SHARKS (3,3,3,3,3)

Light day games: 4/12

Number of back to back sets: 1

The only good thing is they play on 4/12, albeit at Calgary.  Woof.

SEATTLE KRAKEN (3,3,3,4,3)

Light day games: 3/13, 4/3

Number of back to back sets: 2

Both back to backs open a week and include a game against Arizona.  Those are amazing spots, but that’s it.

ST. LOUIS BLUES (3,4,4,3,2)

Light day games: 3/15, 3/17, 4/12

Number of back to back sets: 3

The Blues are a good option for this week, but after that, only their game against the Stars on 4/12 is appealing.

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING (4,3,3,3,2)

Light day games: 4/5

Number of back to back sets: 2

Really ugly streaming schedule.  It’s basically their New York back to back and no other appealing spots.

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS (4,4,3,3,3)

Light day games: 3/13, 3/15, 3/17, 3/29

Number of back to back sets: 4

This week is amazing with three games on light days.  Otherwise, it’s a bunch of back to backs to take advantage.

VANCOUVER CANUCKS (4,4,3,3,3)

Light day games: 3/31

Number of back to back sets: 3

Their light day doesn’t cover a back to back which is annoying.  All of their back to backs are great though, with the Ducks or Blackhawks included in all three.

VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS (3,3,3,4,2)

Light day games: 4/3

Number of back to back sets: 1

Their back to back opens a week with their light day.  That’s great, but otherwise, this is the worst schedule.

WASHINGTON CAPITALS (4,3,3,2,3)

Light day games: 3/15, 3/17, 3/29

Number of back to back sets: 3

Their second and third back to backs are all terrible matchups.  Their games with the Rangers and Sabres tomorrow and Wednesday is great, but that’s it.

WINNIPEG JETS (4,3,3,2,3)

Light day games: 3/31

Number of back to back sets: 2

Their light day doesn’t cover a back to back.  Really ugly besides their back to back that closes this week.

That’s all for now guys.  Be sure to ask any questions, leave any comments, or give any suggestions below.  I’ll be back on Wednesday recapping the action from the next two nights.  Thanks for reading, take care!
