As I sit here I am also clinging to my box of tissues and a blanket.  In case you haven’t noticed, I’m behind a couple posts and it’s because I’ve been (and am still) sick as a dog.  The Nyquil pills I just popped can’t work quickly enough… Now onto the wonderful world of the RCL Leagues:
Jethro (The CHeap Seats) was the top team, scoring 21 of a possible  22 points for the extended all-star week. GoPuckYour…… (Bobby Hull  Division) was next with 20 points.

Feeding Frenzy moved closer to a playoff spot with a 9-1 win over  Pominville NY. Jonathan Quick and Henrik Lundqvist combined for 5 wins  with a .969 save percentage to lead the Frenzy. Martin Erat provided  some offense with a goal and 5 assists, 2 power play points, and 4  penalty minutes.

The Jolly Razzers stretched their lead to 16 points, defeating True  North Puck Co. 6-3. Puck The Folice downed Motorboaters 7-3, Razzmatazz  defeated the barbershop 7-4, and Rocky Mountain Thigh edged  SnepstsMustacheRides 6-4. Zak Dream Team and Toronto Make Beliefs played to a 5-5 tie.

1st-place Decepticon Dominance fell 7-4 to Grabner 5-hole, but  maintained their 37-point lead atop the standings. KyHabs moved into  2nd, winning 6-5 over BlueLineDefenders while Parenteau Guidance was  being bombed 8-2 by The Price is Right.

Jethro destroyed the BroadStreetBullies 10-0 as Zach Parise (5 goals, 2 assists) and Chris Stewart (17 penalty minutes) led the way. Henrik  Lundqvist and Marc-Andre Fleury each provided 3 wins. King Henrik  finished with 2 shutouts and a goals against average of 0.65 and a .975  save percentage.  Kris Letang had no points and was -4 for the Bullies,  who were missing Alex Ovechkin for most of the week with a suspension.

Laraque Bottom edged whobustedass 5-3 while Hank for Vezina and Optimus Reim tied at 5 in other action.

There was a change at the top as Team Vigilante pounded Chubby  Beavers 8-2 while the Ice Road Puckers were falling to Portable Ninja,  8-3. The Vigilante trio of Cam Ward, Marc-Andre Fleury, and Jonathan  Quick combined for 8 victories and swept the goaltending categories.  Martin St. Louis had 5 goals and 3 assists for the Ninja, who slipped  past the Beavers into the 6th and final playoff spot.

The drb_redwings blasted the Sin Bin Sadists 9-2 behind Henrik  Lundqvist’s 3 wins and 2 shutouts. Phil Kessel contributed 2 goals, 2  assists, +3, 2 PIM, 1 PPP, and 19 shots. Corey Crawford dragged down the Wings’ goaltending numbers with ratios of 4.48 and .869.

In other games, SuicidalEnforcers and Gator’s Bitches tied 5-5, Top  Shelf downed the Greyston Schmohawks 7-2, and Jagr Bombs beat Wampa 6-4.

The standings tightened up considerably as the top 2 teams lost big.  League-leaders The Vincibles were bombed by doormats Smarch Snow, 9-2,  dropping their lead to 4 points. TheMustaches, paced by Ilya Kovalchuk  (3 goals and 7 assists), overtook 2nd-place Cunney linguist after  crushing them 8-3.

GoPuckYour…… continued to move up, jumping into a 3rd-place tie from  6th with a 10-1 shellacking of Shiska. Logan Couture led GPY with a line of  2 G/5 A/ +2/3 PPP/15 shots. Cam Ward added 3 wins and a shutout  with a goals against average of 1.21 and .960 save percentage.  Shiska’s Jason Spezza was held pointless, and finished at -2 for the  week.

10th-place Rasktastik! tried shaking things up, trading their  top-ranked skater, John Tavares, to Cunney linguist for David Krejci and Marc-Andre Bergeron. The team responded with a 5-3 win over the  Rochester Americans. Celtic Frost throttled Detroit Rust Rats 9-2, while blunt blazing freak did the same to the i miss baseball. bbf had the top goaltending for the week, led by Lundqvist and Antti Niemi.

    C Tavares, LW/RW Clowe, G Ward -> C,RW Kane, G Quick

    ?

    My goalies now are Miller, Ward, and Schneider. My skaters have owned the league so far but my goaltending’s struggled. Is Quick likely to outperform Ward by much the rest of the way? Seems Clowe is lost in the shuffle in SJ…

      @HldOnMgnolia, Yeah that’s not a bad trade. Quick is a legit #1 and Kane is easily as valuable as Tavares
