Hi all, and welcome to week 10 (wow!) of the NHL season. Fairly normal week again this week but actually a limited number of great streaming options as our “off” days this week are pretty light on the total number of games each day. Especially Wednesday and Friday.
- As it’s a typical weekly schedule of games our off-days this week are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. With the remaining days being busy days around the league.
- The top teams are listed in order by strength of schedule and opponent in the table below. Note: Both Columbus and St. Louis also play four games this week but are not featured on this table. This is due to the fact that they both play three of their games on busy nights and their one off-night isn’t until Sunday. However, do keep in mind that both teams are an option for a Sunday stream if needed!
- The only two teams playing less than three games this week are Washington and Dallas (sad to see it, but their time was due as they’ve been riding high with great schedules for weeks now).

Top Streaming Targets for the Week:
- We have two teams this week who stand out above the crowd. One of which is the New York Rangers. Now sans Jacob Trouba (shipped off to Anaheim) and plus Shesterkin – locked up for 8 years at a cool 92 million. The Rangers are trying to shake things up. I mentioned Will Cuylle – RW more in depth last week so I won’t rehash on him but that is absolutely who you want on this offense that may be on waivers – if you can still get him. If not, then at forward I’d look ideally to either Kaapo Kakko – RW or Filip Chytil – C. Frankly I’m not super excited about either of these guys but they’re both at the very least getting second power play time and the schedule is great this week. So I might not be adding both but I think one of them makes sense for the week. If you’re in need of a defenseman on the other hand I actually do really like picking up Braden Schneider this week. With Trouba gone he’s basically slotting in wherever Trouba has vacated and saw over 21 minutes of ice time on Friday vs. Pittsburgh. He’s not a highly offensive minded blue-liner but he’ll get the odd assist and plenty of banger stats as well.
- The other team we’re really interested in this week are the Sabres. I already yoinked up Dylan Cozens – RW in my own 10 team league last night and I’m very pleased. He hasn’t quite lived up to his breakout season hype from two seasons ago but he’s a solid player. And although he’s seeing bottom-six deployment at full strength he’s been on the first power play with Tuch, Tage, and Powers. Alternatively, JJ Peterka – LW is another good option. Third line with Cozens but second power play, he’s seeing over 18 mins of ice time this season and is another great stream this week. If neither of those two are available, let’s say you’re in a 16+ team league or something, I want to help you out too! Sure, it’s not sexy and sure, it’s not pretty but Jason Zucker – RW is less than 6% rostered on both ESPN and Yahoo and is seeing both second line and first power play deployment at the moment. He’s averaging 15:15 TOI and has 17 points in 27 games so he’s not lighting the world on fire. But hey, desperate times call for desperate measures and he’s in a great spot with great deployment this week.
- I actually like Anaheim as a sneaky good stream this week as long as you have room on your roster for at least their game on Thursday (if not Saturday as well). Then you can get three games in from them before Friday then flip to a Carolina player for the Friday/Sunday schedule to max out the games for a single roster slot on the week. As such, you know who my stream of the week is? You guessed it, good old Troy “Scary” Terry – RW. The Ducks stink, but I’m gonna show Troy some love here this week. Top line, 1st PP, 18:26 average TOI, less than 20% rostered on both ESPN and Yahoo. What more can you ask for from a weekly stream? I’m riding and dying with Terry this week and rarely do this but I’ll even go so far as to say that I’m forecasting that in Anaheim’s four games we see at least 1+ goals and 2+ assists. Book it!
Good luck this week everyone! And as always feel free to leave any additional questions, concerns, etc in the comments below! Also, next week in addition to the regular run down I’ll also be doing a short discussion on some buy-low candidates at this point in the season as I’ve gotten multiple questions about some superstar players who aren’t doing so hot. So look forward to that too for next week.
