It’s that time again. Friday/Sunday stream targets to finish out the week. Get those claims in today so you don’t miss out! Unless you’re in one of them fancy same-day adds leagues.
Six teams to pick from this week: the Sabres, the Canes, the Flames, the Flyers, the Sharks, and the Caps.
Note: For the sake of uniformity and convenience on my part, only players rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be included. Also, a “***” denotes a priority stream, in my humble opinion.
Buffalo Sabres
Tage Thompson (50%): Tage has 2 G and 2 A with 23 SOG in his last six games. Ain’t shabby at all. Gets great deployment and can play all three forward positions.
Alex Tuch (28%): Tuch was the hottest dude on earth there for a while but has cooled off lately. Still is playing plenty and is not a bad stream at all, but he’s for sure no longer a hold at this point.
Jeff Skinner (21%): Not exciting, but he still churns out some SOG and is a [little] more than a decent bet to score you a goal.
Peyton Krebs (1%): I’ll toss Krebs on here since he’s got 3 G in his last two games and is available just about everywhere.
Carolina Hurricanes
Jordan Staal (23%): Always a strong stream for potential points and SOG+H. His C-only eligibility makes him less attractive, though.
Brady Skjei (17%): Skjei remains an okay D-man stream given it’s pretty hard to find one with points upside on the wire. Good for anywhere from 2-4 SOG as well.
Calgary Flames
Noah Hanifin (20%): The points haven’t been there lately, but Hanifin is more than capable of producing. He’s blasted 25 SOG over the last two weeks, which is more than a lot of forwards have given anyone.
Nikita Zadorov (7%): If you need a defender who can crunch bodies, give Zadorov a look.
Milan Lucic (2%): Ditto, but replace “defender” with “left wing” and “Zadorov” with “Lucic.”
Philadelphia Flyers
Rasmus Ristolainen (32%): There not zero chance that Risto scores a point since he sees a little PP time. He will most assuredly wreck in the H+BLK departments, though. Doubt he’s available in a league that counts blocks, but even his hits alone are streamable in a standard league since there’s a little point upside that come with ’em.
Travis Konecny (22%): I was decently high on TK heading into the year, and that has…not panned out. Oh well. Definitely streamable with the deployment he gets, but the Flyers suuuuuuuck.
San Jose Sharks
Jacob Middleton (1%): If your league counts blocks, you’ll want this guy. Basically the new Mario Ferraro in a way, except he doesn’t hit a ton. Sadly, Middleton is the lone streamable player I could recommend in good faith right now.
Washington Capitals
Dmitry Orlov (50%): Orlov is a solid enough D stream in my book. Seems to tally a point every three or four games and does a fair job filling the peripheral categories. He’s got 2 G, 1 A, and 32 BSH (BLK+SOG+H) in his last six.
Anthony Mantha (28%): Got real bummed for Mantha’s fantasy stock after he got moved to the Caps. Turns out he’s been a dud after all, but with 3 PTS in his last four games and some decent SOG, you could stream and hope for the best!
Martin Fehervary (9%): Stream for H+BLK. Has 35 of those in his last six. Noice.
Conor Sheary (3%): Sheary could score the most random hat trick ever, or he could give you straight goose eggs across every single category. But it was just a few games ago he put together a little mini-heater of 4 G and 2 A in a 4-game span. Had an assist in his last one, too, for what it’s worth to ya.
