What’s poppin’, Razzpimples?

If you’re new to this column or have no idea what the Friday/Sunday split is, it’s a simple yet effective way to maximize your weekly output no matter the format of your league. Typically — and it’s not always the case — heavy game loads are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, whereas Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are lighter. Streaming players on those lighter days is almost a necessity to ensure you’re getting the most of each week, but this column focuses on just Fridays and Sundays. Reason being is that you get more bang for your waiver add buck in picking up a guy who will play those two days and will almost always be able to slot into your starting lineup without having to sacrifice someone else to the bench.

Let’s do it to it.

Alrighty, folks, we’ve got four teams on the docket this week: the Hawks, the Jackets, the Jets, and the Sabres.

Chicago Blackhawks

Chicago plays at home both Friday and Sunday, hosting the Jets and Wings, respectively. Now that Bedard’s back, there are actually some dudes worth a look. That kid is f*****g good, y’all.

Nick Foligno is boiling hot lately. Has 4 G, 3 A, 2 PPP, and gobs of hits over his last 6 GP. Also a sneaky source of some extra FOW. Man does a little bit of everything in categories leagues and is clearly an asset in points leagues as well these days. Elite streamer…for now.

Tyler Johnson has 4 PTS in his last five, collecting 3 PPP in the process. That’s stream gold right there.

Philipp Kurashev is also cooking, riding a six-game point streak in which he’s tallied a goal and seven apples. Apples seem to be his forte (9 G and 23 A on the year), so if you’re in the market, Kurashev’s providing.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets are also at home for both games: Friday they host Buffalo, and Sunday they host the Rangers.

Dmitry Voronkov has 2 G in his last three and 3 G in his last five. Sees some PP minutes, adds a few PIM, adds a few SOG, adds a few H, and even adds okay FOW. Lil bit of everything.

Kirill Marchenko has 3 PTS in his last four, and his shot rate is pretty decent. The PPTOI is there, so you can stream and hope for the best!

Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg travels to Chicago on Friday, and then hosts Arizona on Sunday.

Sean Monahan seems to be settling into that Winnipeg life. Three straight games with a goal, including a hat trick back on the 19th, totaling 5 G in that little span. Three of those goals have been PPG, too. Gotta stream the hotness. Especially in FOW formats.

Adam Lowry brings a variety of contributions to cats leagues. He’s not good enough to hold, though he is good enough to double-dip on for a Friday/Sunday split stream. Over his last six, he’s got a couple assists, 5 PIM, 16 H, 4 BLK, and 41 FOW.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres are on the road Friday against Columbus, then back home Sunday to take on the Canes.

J.J. Peterka has cooled off after back-to-back 2 G games in late January, but he’s still churning out SOG and getting good minutes. Upside is there.

Casey Mittelstadt is quite boring, not gonna lie. Most valuable if FOW count, but he’s still a decent stream for a point, solid SOG, and good plus-minus.

Connor Clifton is the resident Bang Daddy in Buffalo. Has 10 PIM, 8 H, and 14 BLK in his last five. Obviously, avoid if you don’t need any of that.

Jordan Greenway has 5 PTS in his last five and is getting good minutes. Do I think it continues? Nah. Could toss a dart his way nevertheless.

That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading. Leave me a comment below so I feel all warm and fuzzy.
