What’s poppin’, Razzpimples?

If you’re new to this column or have no idea what the Friday/Sunday split is, it’s a simple yet effective way to maximize your weekly output no matter the format of your league. Typically — and it’s not always the case — heavy game loads are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, whereas Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are lighter. Streaming players on those lighter days is almost a necessity to ensure you’re getting the most of each week, but this column focuses on just Fridays and Sundays. Reason being is that you get more bang for your waiver add buck in picking up a guy who will play those two days and will almost always be able to slot into your starting lineup without having to sacrifice someone else to the bench.

Let’s do it to it.

Note: All Rostered% numbers and position eligibilities via Fantrax. All line deployment projections via Left Wing Lock.

Short column this time around since there are only three teams on the Friday/Sunday docket this week: the Kings, Kraken, and Blues. Not the sexiest names out there, won’t lie to ya, but there’s still value to be found. Trust the process!

Los Angeles Kings (FRI @COL || SUN @STL)

Phillip Danault is very fine streaming option for two things: assists and FOW. Really not good for much else at all, I’m afraid. Probably why he’s not on that many rosters. But double-dipping for a stream? Grab the man. My home league counts most peripheral categories and Danault has been the most valuable King over the last two weeks, with 1 G, 5 A, 3 STP, and 61 FOW.

Matt Roy is a nice category-filler, namely for extra SOG, H, and BLK. He’s been away from the team due to the birth of a child, so he’ll have that New Dad Mojo (assuming he’s back for Friday’s game).

Alex Laferriere is a niche stream if you need SOG. He doesn’t fire off a ton, but he’s had a least 2 SOG in each of the past seven games in limited minutes. Figure he’s good for an extra 5+ SOG this weekend, which could turn the tables for you in a matchup.

Seattle Kraken (FRI vSTL || SUN vCBJ)

Oliver Bjorkstrand is playing well lately, amassing 6 PTS in his last six games, along with 17 SOG. I know he’s not the most streamable dude out there given that he’s on almost two-thirds of Fantrax rosters.

Adam Larsson is always a great H+BLK source.

Jordan Eberle has 3 G and 2 A (2 PPP) over his last five. The PPTOI is nice, so that’s always worth streaming.

St. Louis Blues (FRI @SEA || SUN vLA)

Brayden Schenn is stuffing cats right now, and I ain’t talkin taxidermy. Over his last six, the Blues captain has 2 G, 4 A, 4 PIM, 10 SOG, 4 STP, 12 H, 7 BLK, and 38 FOW. That’s not a lot of great, but it sure is a lot of good.

Colton Parayko seems to have found his scoring touch a little again lately, too, with points in each of the last three (1 G, 3 A). He’s a category streamer first and foremost, as he’s usually gonna give you a fair amount of SOG+H+BLK with upside for more.

That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading. Leave me a comment below so I feel all warm and fuzzy.
