It’s that time again. Friday/Sunday stream targets to finish out the week. Get those claims in today so you don’t miss out! Unless you’re in one of them fancy same-day adds leagues.

I’m back from a little holiday hiatus, so I hope you’ve all had a good Christmas/New Year/holiday season!

Just one team with the Friday/Sunday split this week: the Blues. They’ve got some undervalued guys for y’all to check out.

No Friday/Sunday teams next week, so you’ll see me again in a couple weeks (aside from in the comments on Viz’s pieces).

Note: For the sake of uniformity and convenience on my part, only players rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be included. Also, a “***” denotes a priority stream, in my humble opinion.

St. Louis Blues (v. WSH, v. DAL)

Colton Parayko (38%): Parayko is good for blocks and solid for hits. That’s about the extent of it, sadly. I’ve said so many times over the years that Parayko could be great if he’d shoot that clapper more often, and his skating and hands are surprisingly deft. But for some reason, the guy just can’t put it all together to turn into a truly great NHL defenseman. All that aside, decent enough stream who has more value if your leagues count blocks.

Robert Thomas (37%): I’ve been a RobThom fan for years and have been waiting patiently for this breakout season we’re in the midst of. I suspect his ownership is so low because he’s only good for assists. He does nothing else. But I do love that C/RW eligibility on Yahoo; valuable RW don’t grow on trees.

Brandon Saad (16%): I liked the Saad signing as a real-life Blues fan, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at his goal scoring thus far. He’s getting good minutes these days and is currently slotted on both the top line and the top power play. Yeah, he’s got one measly in his last 8 GP, but the deployment’s there at least. And let’s be real, it ain’t like your waiver wire is brimming with players who are actually playing games right now.

Niko Mikkola (1%): Mikkola is a banger option for you. He’s only got 4 PTS on the year, so don’t expect anything at all there. Has 9 H and 5 BLK in his last 3 GP, though. Might give you a couple shots, too.
