What’s poppin’, Razzpimples?

If you’re new to this column or have no idea what the Friday/Sunday split is, it’s a simple yet effective way to maximize your weekly output no matter the format of your league. Typically — and it’s not always the case — heavy game loads are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, whereas Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are lighter. Streaming players on those lighter days is almost a necessity to ensure you’re getting the most of each week, but this column focuses on just Fridays and Sundays. Reason being is that you get more bang for your waiver add buck in picking up a guy who will play those two days and will almost always be able to slot into your starting lineup without having to sacrifice someone else to the bench.

Let’s do it to it.

Note: All Rostered% numbers and position eligibilities via Fantrax. All line deployment projections via Left Wing Lock.

Five teams to pick your poison from in Week 10: the Ducks, the Canes, the Sens, the Knights, and the Sharks.

Anaheim Ducks (FRI @NYR|| SUN @NJ)

Adam Henrique has a goal in each of the last two games and 3 G in his last five. Also been beasting FOW lately. Scored a goal and went 15-5 at the dot last time out. Not a bad night’s work!

Radko Gudas is your man for H+BLK. Per the usual.

Carolina Hurricanes (FRI vNSH|| SUN vWSH)

Michael Bunting is still seeing good PP minutes for the Canes. I definitely wouldn’t prioritize him, but if you’re desperate for some PPP then you could take your shot.

Despite limited minutes, points are starting to pile up for Stefan Noesen. He’s got 5 PTS in his last seven and also can add two or three hits. Also likely to improve your +/-.

Ottawa Senators (FRI @DAL|| SUN @VGK)

Mathieu Joseph is a solid source of PIM and +/-. Playing top-six minutes lately and seeing good PPTOI. Not much has come of that in the points department, however. Wouldn’t bother with him if you’re not in a league that counts the first two categories.

Artem Zub has 4 A and 16 H+BLK in his last 6 GP. The assists are not likely to continue, but he’s always been a good provider of bangs.

San Jose Sharks (FRI @ARI|| SUN @COL)

What on earth has gotten into Mikael Granlund? I didn’t snag him cuz I thought “Surely this does not last even, like, one more game.” Yet, here we are, with Granlund looking like peak Joe Thornton with all them apples. After a lousy start (1 PT in 8 GP), Granlund has been an assist machine: 15 A in his last 14, including three goals and a shocking +5 rating. In just his last six, he’s had 10 A, with four multi-point efforts in that span. Man is getting McDavid level minutes, too. I’m kicking myself for passing him up. Aside from the assists and PPP, the shots are solid, the blocks are solid, and he’s even snagging FOW.

William Eklund is also cookin’. Has a 2 G and 3 A in his last three. Good shot rate, as well as some contributions to PIM and BLK.

Mario Ferraro and Kyle Burroughs are like having two Radko Gudases (I think that’s the plural of Gudas??)

Vegas Golden Knights (FRI vBUF|| SUN vOTT)

Chandler Stephenson is only available in a third of Fantrax leagues, but ya gotta scoop him if he’s there. Riding a four-game point streak in which he’s tallied 3 G and 3 A (3 PPP).

My boy Ivan Barbashev — whom I miss so much as a Blues fan — is playing quite nicely of late. He’s got 7 PTS, 13 SOG, 8 H, and 8 BLK in his last 7 GP. Solid across the board!

Paul Cotter is your dude for hits: 30 H in just his last six. Wowza.

Of course, there’s always Brayden McNabb for H+BLK.

Sneaky SOG can be had from Nicolas Roy, who also brings some solid +/- and FOW. Over the last two weeks, only Marchessault and Eichel have more SOG for Vegas.

That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading. Leave me a comment below so I feel all warm and fuzzy.

I specialize in bullpens, and I also do some fantasy hockey as well here at Razzball. Find me on Elon’s Disaster: @jkj0787. DMs are always open for questions, comments, concerns, complaints, etc. Odds are good I’m drinking black coffee, dark beer, or some form of bourbon at any given time of day.
