Olli Jokinen – What can I say?  He’s been one of the better values of the entire season.  He was either drafted late or dropped and picked up,  so either way he’s been a diamond in the rough.  I had the Jokester for about a month and I believed enough to trade him 2 weeks ago and so far its been a friggin disaster.  4 Goals/3 Assists in the last 4 games (including last night’s ‘trick) has me thinking of trying an Ollie off my roof.  On the bright side, I’m so far out of it in that league I don’t need to worry about not having him for the playoffs..

Miikka Kiprusoff – G (Cgy):  Congrats on 300 Wins, but career milestones don’t get top billing here.  Oh yeah and thanks for having a great season in a year where I don’t own you, at the ripe ol’ age of 35 to boot.

Patrik Elias – C/LW (NJ):  I try hard to not be influenced by headlines I read on other hockey sites, but one on NHL.com caught my eye and forced me to write about this old fart.  Elias has at least 1 point in 6 straight and 13 of his last 14 games.  He’s on pace for his best season in 3 years but lets be honest, owning Elias is about as exciting as going to the Doctor after your 50th birthday.

Sam Gagner – C (Edm):  The magic carpet ride continues for young Samuel.  I dare you to go find a better 5 game stretch by anyone this season:  8G/7A/+6/6PPP’s/18SOG.  Go ahead I’ll still be here when you get back…

David Jones – RW (Col):  I’m sensing a hot streak here.  4 Points last 2 games as he is (finally) again paired with Hejduk and Stastny.  I can’t figure out why he hasn’t been on this line all season considering thats where he was last year when he had a career high 27 Goals.

Henrik Lundqvist – G (NYR):  Here is what I wrote about the King in my preseason rankings some 6 months ago: “I almost never advocate taking a goalie in the Top 10, but gun to my schvontz Lundqvist is the guy I’m taking.”  Jeez I was pretty reckless back then.  Why would I put a gun to my schvontz???  Ah it’s not important.  What is important is that the King is creeping his way into my Top 5 for next season with every start he makes.  The consistency he’s shown over the years is enough to make Gordon Ramsey’s Risotto jealous.

Corey Perry – RW (Ana):  If you didn’t see the highlight, Perry scored the game winner in Overtime after “stealing” the puck from Jussi Jokinen.  Well “stealing” may be a bit of a stretch, it was more like an MMA takedown.  But hey there were 2 refs within 10 feet of the play so if they didn’t see a penalty, then there must not have been one right?  RIGHT?!?

Saku Koivu – C (Ana):  Broke his 3 game schnide with his 10th Goal of the season and despite the small hiccup, Saku still has 22 Points in his last 27 games.  I gotta admit I didn’t think the old goat had a run like this in him, but if we’ve learned one thing over the last couple years, it’s that you never doubt a Fin.

Christian Ehrhoff  – D (Buf):  Christian has been ‘off’ this season, to say the least.  I thought there was a chance he could struggle his first season away from the friendly confines of Vancouver, but it’s been exceptionally bad.  He’s on pace for his lowest point total in 4 seasons and the +55 over the last 2 seasons in has turned into a -4 in Buffalo.  If it sounds like I’m blaming the city of Buffalo, uh….well………… I am.
