It’s that time of the year again! I’m back again to cover all things fantasy hockey here at Razzball. Today, I simply wanted to touch base and let everyone know that I’m back and what the schedule is going to look like in preseason. Additionally, MarmosDad will be back to help me out once again, which I’m thrilled about. On top of him doing a great job, it’s nice to have some continuity with a second writer for once.
I’m actually starting earlier this season mostly because the NHL moved up the start of their season. Compared to year’s past, the preseason will be similar on my end. Rankings, rankings, and more rankings. I’m going to start with the Top 10 and then Top 20 before getting position specific. As of now, my plan is to do forwards first, then defensemen, before finishing with goalies. I will put together a top 200 list from there before focusing on players that I’m higher than consensus on, followed by players that I’m fading. At the end of the preseason, I want to do a post covering power plays around the league to see if there are any surprises right before the season starts. MarmosDad will do longform previews of each division to compliment my posts as well.
During the season, I’m going to stick to last season’s schedule. That means posts from me on Monday and Friday, along with MarmosDad covering Wednesday. For the most part, there will be daily notes, but there will be some different posts mixed in. Once a month, I will update my hold/stream list for 12’ers, and occasionally, I’ll write about players that I want to buy or sell going.
I wanted to add that I’d like to know if there is something that you want me to cover, either in preseason or during the regular season. As always, the comments section will be open to answer any fantasy team-specific questions that you have, but if there’s something big picture that you’d like from me or MarmosDad, please share that with me below.
