Marc-Andre put an exclamation point on his hot start with a 33 Save Shutout against the Isle.  ‘Twas a nice game for the former top overall pick and he’s doing exactly what his owners hoped he would.  6 Wins, 1.87GAA and a .937SV%.  It’ll be interesting to see if he can keep this up OR (like in years past) will he go through multiple rough stretches and be the same ol’ Fleury?  Much like some skank’s next herpes flare up, only time will tell…

Sergei Gonchar – D (Ott):  Back-to-back 2 Point nights for Gonchar and my concerns about him stealing PP time from Karlsson is coming to fruition (word of the day).   It’s not all bad for Karlsson though, Gonchar will be hurt sooner than later.  If you can trade Gonch to a nostalgic Pittsburgh fan I would do it now…

Zenon Konopka – C (Ott):  Fagnof.  Pure FAGNOF.

Grant Clitsome – D (CBJ):  Finally!  I’ve been waiting all year for The Clit to do something big so I could talk about him and Voila!  3 Assists against the mighty Red Wings.  Not an add yet but definately worth scouting.  And for those of you who stumbled on this site after you googled “clit” and “red wings”, I apologize…

Steve Mason – G (CBJ):  His first Win of the young season!  Wait, this was already his 9th start?  Well I guess the season isn’t that young.  I’m a Mason hater and if you can use this good start against the Red Wings to trade him, DO IT NOW!

Brad Boyes – C/RW (Buf):  There was a time when Brad Boyes was a hot fantasy commodity (43 Goals in 2007).  Well times change and so has Boyes’ usefulness.  Despite the Goal & Assist last night he’s still only playing about 10 minutes a game on the 3rd (or 4th) line.  If for some reason you still have him on your team (he’s currently 48% owned in Yahoo) don’t hesitate to drizzop.

Patrick Marleau – C/LW (SJ):  Has 3 Points in the Sharks last 2 games after just 2 Points in the first 5.  Despite this, Marleau and me still don’t agree with each other.  Don’t get me wrong he’s still a good fantasy forward, but his best days are in the rear-view mirror.

Joe Thornton – C (SJ):  Ditto…

Teemu Selanne – RW (Ana):  I’ve heard alot of Teemu interviews over the years and in every single one of them he says “unbelievable” at least 5 times.  Well that is the perfect word to describe the ageless Finnish Flash.  After 0 points in 3 games he’s now got 6 in his last 5.  Unbelievable…

Patrick Sharp – C/LW/RW (Chi):  I haven’t talked about Sharpie alot but it’s because he’s doing what he should be doing.  3G/5A/+4/2PPP/30SOG.  To endear me to him even more: 18 Penalty Minutes.  To endear me to him even more more: 3 Position eligibility in Yahoo.

Johan Hedberg – G (NJ):  Shuts out the Kings in LA.  Not an easy feat.  As long as Brodeur is on the shelf this former Cy Young award winner is worth owning.

Edmonton Oilers – If they keep winning I don’t see how they can send Nugent-Hopkins down.  And I think if there top D men like Smid, Whitney and Gilbert stay healthy they will keep winning.  Also, Taylor Hall is pretty good at hockey…
