It’s that time again. Friday/Sunday stream targets to finish out the week. Get those claims in today so you don’t miss out! Unless you’re in one of them fancy same-day adds leagues. Slim pickins this week, not gonna lie! Short read ahead.

Note: For the sake of uniformity and convenience on my part, only players rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be included. Also, a “***” denotes a priority stream, in my humble opinion.

Calgary Flames (@ TOR, @ OTT)

***Rasmus Andersson (44%): Not much to say here. Ain’t gonna try to wow you with this and that. Andersson’s a straightforward fellow: he’s an assist-heavy, peripheral-less defenseman who QBs the top PP unit. He’s not quite sexy enough to be rostered in even half of Yahoo leagues, but he’s no slouch either. If you’re lagging in the A and/or PPP columns, try your handersson and Andersson. *Pun Dog Meme (you know, the one with the smiling husky)*

***Blake Coleman (42%): Another straightforward fellow. Mr. Coleman is basically Brady Tkachuk lite. He’s very strong for SOG+H but not quite the points threat that Brady can be. Unlike Brady, though, Coleman is eligible at both wing positions. His 36 SOG and 23 H on the year ain’t something you see from the average winger.

Honestly, that’s about all I see from Calgary. You could take your chances with Sean Monahan, but he’s kind of a loser for fantasy purposes now and is only C eligible. Oliver Kylington is enticing, having scored 7 PTS in his last 7 GP, but he’s just kinda got that “flash in the pan” vibe to me for some reason. I need to see much more than 16ish TOI from a defender to get excited. There is always a chance Milan Lucic fights someone or boards someone and racks up PIMs for you.

Edmonton Oilers (@ BUF, @ STL)

***Evan Bouchard (33%): Bouchard is climbing the fantasy hockey redraft relevancy ladder. The hits and blocks have been steady and the assists are starting to come at regular intervals. Entering today, he’s got a helper in three straight, as well as in six of his last nine. Solid enough SOG rate, too. The sad truth is he’ll probably never unseat Tyson Barrie from the top PP, but his second PP minutes still have some value. His top-pairing exposure to McJesus, while maybe not exactly hold-worthy, is most definitely stream-worthy.

Lol welp, that’s it for Edmonton. Everyone else worthwhile is rostered pretty much.

Washington Capitals (@ CBJ, v. PIT)

Garnet Hathaway (2%): Stream the dude for hits if you need ’em. Got 14 in his last three games alone (35 already on the year).

***Conor Sheary (1%): Weird to see a guy on a top power play unit available in 99% of leagues, yet here we are. Sheary has barely scored this year, but there aren’t a lot of games either Friday or Sunday (cuz duh, that’s the whole points of this column each week) so he could be the cheapest source of PPP you’ll find. In addition to the top power play minutes, he’s been seeing top-six minutes at even strength thanks to injuries to Oshie and Mantha. By default, he’s a priority stream forward this weekend due to lack of options.
