It’s that time again. Friday/Sunday stream targets to finish out the week. Get those claims in today so you don’t miss out! Unless you’re in one of them fancy same-day adds leagues.
Note: For the sake of uniformity and convenience on my part, only players rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be included. Also, a “***” denotes a priority stream, in my humble opinion.
Arizona Coyotes
***Shayne Gostisbehere (48%): A 40-point defender who QBs a PP1 unit is less than 50% rostered? What in the living hell. Ghost should be owned everywhere. Stream. And hell, just hold.
Nick Schmaltz (47%): The insane hot streak recently has tapered off, but dude still has 3 G and 3 A over his last 7 GP.
***Lawson Crouse (25%): Yeahhh, you gotta stream Lawson Crouse right now. Kid still feels like he could be a Brady Tkachuk lite, pumping out SOG + H and with upwards of 30 goals in that stick. Crouse has 5 G, 3 A, 3 PPP, 16 SOG, and 19 H over the last two weeks. Big time stuff.
Nick Ritchie (3%): If Crouse is taken and you still want a forward with a bit of a scoring touch who will lay out the hits, then Ritchie isn’t the worst Plan B. Has 3 G, 12 SOG, and 19 H in that same span.
Dysin Mayo (3%): With Lyubushkin gone, Mayo is now the H+BLK daddy in the desert. Has 18 H and 18 BLK (and 2 A!) over his last seven.
Buffalo Sabres
Alex Tuch (24%): Tbh, Tuch is the only Sabre I’m looking at these days. Wasn’t too long ago I had several Sabres names for you, but there are lots of Friday/Sunday options this week so don’t bother with anyone else here. Tuch hasn’t been especially sexy lately, but I still like the shots I’m seeing and the deployment is good.
Colorado Avalanche
***Valeri Nichushkin (46%): Nichushkin has 3 G, 2 A, and 3 PPP over his last five. Seeing top line and top PP minutes, filling the void left behind by Landy. A void which will be there ROS. Nichushkin is a hold in my book (as long as he stays there).
Erik Johnson (33%): As always, a solid stream for BSH. Has 31 BSH (10 BLK, 11 SOG, 11 H) over his last 5 GP. That’s a damn fine rate, and he’s been doing it all damn season.
Josh Manson (12%): New Avs blueliner Manson is laying out the hits, same as he did in Anaheim. Even has a goal and an assist in recent games. Strong stream for hits if that’s what you’re looking for.
New York Rangers
Andrew Copp (36%): Copp looked good in his first Rangers game, notching two apples, a power-play point, two shots, and two hits. Eligible at all three forward positions.
K’Andre Miller (3%): Low-key killing it in the BSH department lately: 14 SOG, 19 H, and 10 BLK in his last seven. There are better streams out there, but the kid is seeing 20+ minutes most nights and will accumulate peripherals because of it.
Philadelphia Flyers
Martin Jones (6%): Assuming Hart gets the nod today, you desperately stream Martin Jones if you wanted to. It’s against Colorado, so I’d advise against. But maybe in a league that counts saves and ignores ratios? Go for it.
Rasmus Ristolainen (35%): Elite bangs. Nothing else. Per the usual.
Travis Konecny (24%): TK is hot! A goal, 6 A, 3 PPP, and 23 SOG over the last two weeks. Dunno what happened to this guy, cuz he used to be one of my favorite later-round targets. Might be due for a bounce-back next season.
Joel Farabee (15%): Also hot! Has 2 G, 5 A, 2 PPP, and even 9 BLK over the last couple weeks.
***Kevin Hayes (7%): Hayes is a priority stream for me now that Giroux is gone. How weird is it that Giroux is not in a Flyers sweater anymore? But yeah, Hayes, he’s got 4 G, 4 A, 1 PPP, 17 SOG, and 14 H in his last seven.
Pittsburgh Penguins
Evan Rodrigues (32%): A good stream for SOG (22 over his last six) with more than a decent chance at getting you some points.
Rickard Rakell (31%): New team mojo? Hasn’t happened yet, but maybe this is the weekend it all comes together!
Winnipeg Jets
Eric Comrie (3%): Comrie would face Columbus if they go with Helley today against Ottawa. But maybe they let Comrie take the easier opponent. Or maybe they just let Helley do both! Who knows! Comrie has made just one start this month, back on the 10th, and he was excellent on the road against Jersey (33 SV on 34 SH, earning the win).
Brenden Dillon (14%): The only skater I’m looking at from the Jets this week is Dillon. And that’s only for peripherals, of course. All the other guys are too sexy and too widely-rostered. Dillon has 37 H+BLK (25 H, 12 BLK) in his last seven.
