The Los Angeles Kings once again displayed their complete and utter disaster of an offense last night and it’s time to start calling out someone other than Mike Richards.  Enter Anze Kopitar.  Now granted, compared to most the rest of these bums Anze is having an MVP type season.  But that’s not my point.  My point is that Kopitar gets treated in fantasy circles like an elite Center and I’m here to say NO MORE!  If the Kings don’t bring in a legit scorer before the deadline, Kopitard may not even break 70 Points.  And that’s just special…

Claude Giroux – C/RW (Phi):  Just when Claude the Bod was showing signs of weakness (13 Points last 18 games) he goes and has himself a 5 Assist night.  I have a feeling this year was the last time in a long time he gets drafted outside the 1st Round.

Victor Hedman – D (TB):  You want a luke-warm endorsement?  Okay just imagine that I am the Tea Party and Victor Hedman is Mitt Romney… Ha!  Political humor!

Martin St. Louis – RW (TB):   Hey Marty!  Just a couple dozen more 2 Goal games like last night and you’ll begin to approach your preseason ranking!

Jonathan Toews – C (Chi):  Earlier in the week I mentioned Marian Hossa and how if Chicago was going to turn things around, he’d be a big reason why.  Well Toews is THE reason why.  And he proved it last night with 2 Points and a Blackhawk Win.  I smell a huge finish for Toew jam so enjoy the ride.

Marc Staal – D (NYR):  Not that Staal is a real important piece for the Rangers, but it does surprise me that his 1st Goal is on February 16th and the Rangers have the best record in the Eastern Conference…

Andy McDonald – C/LW (StL):  2 Points in 3 games since returning so quick, go pick him up now he’s only got 4 games left until his next concussion…

Evander Kane –  LW (Wpg):  Kane has proven to be streaky at the tender age of 20 and he just had his best game in a month (2G/1A) yesterday.  Get him in your lineup if you’ve been burying him on your roster.  It’s gonna be interesting to see if he can put it all together next year, cuz the only thing he’s missing is consistency (and a good Center to feed him those easy Goals).

Mikko Koivu – C (Min):  The single best quality Mikko has shown over the years is consistency.  But after missing 8 games last month with a bum shoulder he is starting to get labeled “fragile”.  Well….. By me anyway…

Mike Cammalleri – C/LW (Cgy):  Now has a modest 3 game scoring streak with last night’s Goal.  Camm is showing his age this year but a strong finish is not out of the question.  But neither is a broken hip…

Steve Ott – C/LW (Dal):  The 113PIM’s goes down like a cold beer but his 27 Points is really disappointing.  With Richards leaving I thOTT (HA!) Steve would easily set a career high in points but he may not even get to the 46 he put up 3 years ago.  I Ott to be pissed, but I’m nOtt (HA HA!)

Milan Michalek – LW/RW (Ott):  Remember when this dude lead the NHL in Goals?  It was an ugly time in the history of the league but luckily Milan Michalek is back to being Milan Michalek.

Jonas Hiller – G (Ana):  Take away that 6 Goal debacle against Dallas on February 1st and Hiller is 12-1-3 with a .952SV% and a 1.72GAA in 16 games.  That’s what I call a turnaround and if you were more patient than I (who dropped him 2 months ago) Hiller is rewarding your patience.
