I’ll be honest, David Krejci has always been a Guy to me.  Not a guy, not a GUY, just a guy.  I even cut him on Thursday morning to stream a goalie, proof that I am human.  Krejci scored a hat trick on Thursday, scoring on all three of his shots in the 8-4 win over Pittsburgh.  That brings him to 14+19 on the season in 44 games.  He doesn’t quite need that pace to be fantasy worthy, but it’s close because his PIM and SOG are well below average.  In a 12’er, I probably lean towards holding but it’s super close.  Shallower, he’s a streamer, deeper it’s an easy hold.  His playoff schedule is also great so use that to your advantage.  Let’s take a look at what else happened over the last two nights:

Antti Niemi – 27 saves on 28 shots in the 3-1 win over the Islanders.  Faith, I still have none in Niemi going forward.

Jonathan Drouin – Goal and an assist.  Another massive disappointment, Drouin is a streamer in standard 12’ers.

Jason Pominville – Goal and an assist with seven shots.  It was his first goal in almost two months so Pommy is a hard pass.

Chad Johnson – 21 saves on 22 shots in the 2-1 OT win over Tampa.  We knows OchoCinco is bipolar this season, what I don’t get is how Buffalo allowed only 22 shots against Tampa.  Minor miracles.

Carter Hutton – 35 saves on 36 shots in the 2-1 win over Detroit.  I’ve received a bunch of Hutton questions lately, and it’s simple.  Do you need help immediately?  Then cut him.  Can you be patient?  Then hold tight.

Mikael Backlund – Goal and an assist with three shots.  Solid streamer, especially if you need a penalty minute boost.

Nathan MacKinnon – Goal and an assist with eight shots.  If he’s not the MVP, then he’s top three at the least.  What a beast.

Blake Comeau – Two assists as did Carl Soderberg.  Fu*** given?  Zero.

Tyson Barrie – Goal and an assist with two shots.  I’d lean towards but I understand if you can’t stomach the plus-minus.

Ryan Spooner – Three assists with a shot.  SPOONMAN!!! Elite streamer down the stretch.

Kevin Hayes – Two goals on three shots.  Also a solid to great streamer.

Vladislav Namestnikov – Goal and an assist with three shots in his Rangers debut.  Names is an elite streamer in the short term until we determine how good he is for the Blueshirts.

Neal Pionk – Two assists with a shot.  Very nice option in deep dynasties but not enough short term value for 12’er redrafts.

Bo Horvat – Goal and tow assists with five shots playing almost 23 minutes.  Dr. Bo cutting up the opposition!  Great option down the stretch and going forward.

Daniel Sedin – Goal and an assist with six shots.  Benning is talking about how the Sedins need to leave for the Canucks to move on and prosper.  What a bunch of B.S.  Both Sedins have thrived in a minimized role this season, no reason why that can’t continue.

Brendan Leipsic – Two assists with seven shots with two PIM.  Some prospect guys like his upside more than me so I’m monitoring him closely.  You can stream him in deep leagues but that’s it for now.

Brock Boeser – Two goals on six shots.  Barzal has pulled away for the Calder, but most seasons Boeser would be the winner, so don’t take away what he’s done this year.

Olli Maataa – Two goals on three shots with four penalty minutes.  Not enough here currently for standard leagues but Maataa is still only 23 so I’m not giving up going forward.

Evgeni Malkin – Two assists with two shots and four PIM.  He has simply been a machine for months.  Just stay healthy!

Phil Kessel – Goal and an assist with three shots.  That Primanti Bros. has been fueling Phil all season!

David Pastrnak – Two goals and an assist with five shots and two PIM.  I don’t need to list every Bruins who had a good game when the team scored eight goals against Pitt.  Let’s just say Pastrnak is probably a first round pick in dynasties and while he hasn’t been flashy this year, Pasta has been steady all season.

Cam Ward – 21 saves on 22 shots in the 4-1 win over Philly.  Faith, I still have none in Ward.

Justin Williams – Two goals and an assist.  He’s a great streamer right now.

Sebastian Aho – Goal and an assist with three shots.  Superman, that Aho!  I don’t know if I anyone can call him a sleeper for next season, but Aho seems like he’s on the verge of a massive breakout next year.  Like top 50 player who will stay there for the better part of a decade.

Patrick Maroon – Two assists with three shots and five PIM in his Devils debut.  Maroon is an elite streamer with upside from there.

Aleksander Barkov – Two goals on four shots.  22 year old who keeps getting better.  Real life, he looks like he’ll be a top 10-15 player eventually.  Fantasy?  I’d say around 2oth but who knows, maybe that will improve too.

Evgenii Dadonov – Two assists with two shots.  This season has gone almost exactly as planned.  At least for this writer who ranked him much higher than ADP.

J.T. Miller – Two assists with two shots.  I’d lean towards holding Miller but he’s right on the fringe.

Anthony Cirelli – Goal and an assist.  Congrats to Cirelli for his NHL debut but it’ll take more for me to stream him.

Tyler Seguin – Two goals and an assist with nine shots.  Seguin is really heating up right now and should continue to be a top 20 player down the stretch for the Stars.

Connor McDavid – Goal and an assist with two shots and two PIM.  He’s so hot that it might burn a hole into Earth but it doesn’t matter because Chiarelli messed up their entire offseason.  McJesus is still as good as it gets.

Viktor Arvidsson – Two goals on seven shots, both assisted by Filip Forsberg.  Arvy has been killing it for the entire second half and Forsberg is starting to get rolling.  They’re the best two forwards going forward for Smashville depending on how you feel about Tolvanen.

Max Domi – Three assists with a shot.  I was hoping he’d be traded at the deadline for Domi to get a restart.  Regardless, I’m still a big fan in dynasties.

Joe Pavelski – Two goals on five shots.  Calling him hot is the understatement of the century.  I declared him a massively declining asset and Little Joe has caught fire.

Christian Folin – Three assists.  And there’s your annual Christian Folin update!

Alex Iafallo – Two goals with two PIM.  Bottom end streamer for this season but it could get better going forward.

That’s all for now everyone.  I’ll be back on Monday recapping all of the weekend’s action.  As always, feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments below.  Thanks for reading, enjoy your weekend!
