Let’s make this short.  Get on Twitter and follow me: @Razzballhockey. Have other people do it too.  I promise nothing less than my worst effort.

Not alot of anything goin down last night other than Montreal losing to the juggernaut Florida Panthers at home to improve to 1-5-2 on the season.  Pathetic.  And to rub salt in the wound their leading scorer Max-Pac hurt his shoulder and did not return.  What does this all mean?  I’m not sure but if I owned Carey Price I’d be worried.  Montreal is short a #1 and #3 Defenseman.  And an elite Center.  Don’t go trading him though unless you can get full value.

Jacob Markstrom – G (Fla):  Has only given up 3 Goals in 3 games and last night he had 40 Saves.  Get on board now if he’s on your waiver wire (and you need a Goalie).  This is the #1 Goalie prospect in the NHL here so it could be lightning in a bottle.

Jaromir Jagr – RW (Phi):  Scored his first 2 Goals of the season and added an assist.  I’m not sure what to think of Jagr right now. I’d like to say sell high but watching Teemu Selanne the last 2+ years it makes me think old (super talented) guys can still get it done.

Scott Hartnell – LW (Phi):  Welcome to the Party Pal!  2 Goals and an Assist last night after 0 Goals and 1 Assist in his first 4 Games.  The 6PIM’s is highly disappointing too but I think he’ll catch up quick on that.  If he was dropped in your league and you’re short on PIM’s go pick him up now.

Henrik Lundqvist – G (NYR):  Supposedly it’s been confirmed he left the game on Saturday with nothing but an equipment defect.  Good news for you King Henrik subjects…

Dan Girardi – D (NYR):  3 Assists in the last 3 games and is worth keeping an eye on.  If you’re in a deep league you could probably do worse at your #4 D spot.

Mathieu Garon – G (TB):  Will get the start tonight against Buffalo. It’s a good test for Garon as Buffalo has scored 3 or more Goals in 6 of their first 7 games.  This will go a long way in determining how much longer Garon will be the #1 Goalie in Tampa.

That’s it for now.  ‘Twas a slow night on North American Ice Sheets…  And don’t forget to follow me on Twitter!   @razzballhockey
