It’s getting close to that time in the season where if you’re sitting in 11th or 12th place now is the time to make a move. If you’re waaaay out of it ala SmarchSnow or BarberShop it’s time to start dropping unproductive players for hot waiver wire fodder. Beatdown of the week was Decepticon Dominance over Grabner 5-hole (10-1). Dominance was led by Thomas Vanek with 3 goals and Anze Kopitar and Brian Campbell with 4 assist each. Jimmy Howard with 3 wins and a .948 save %. Honorable mention to Hank for Vezina getting back in the race with an 8-1 beatdown over Optimus Reim. Hank was led by Jaro Halak with a .961 save % and Marian Hossa with 5 pts.

And the bluntblazingfreak beats down imissbaseball 9-1. The slide for Imissbaseball continues as he now sits in 3rd place. BBF had the baby face twins in Beantown (Marchand and Seguin) combine for 7G/5A/+9/17SOG’s. Throw in Drew Doughty’s best week in god knows how long (2G/3A/3PPP/9SOG) and awesome goaltending from Lundqvist and Niemi and it’s no reason he dominated. Imissbaseball still has gotten nothing out of Mike Cammalleri (0Pts, -3) and Ovechkin had a subpar week (1 Point, -2).

Motorboaters has Tyler Seguin. Seguin had a huge week: 4 G, 2 A and 9 SOG. He also got a nice week from Niklas Kronwall: 3 Pts, 4 PIM and a +5. It all added up to an 8-2 beatdown of fellow contender Puck the Folice and a climb up the standings to #3. Traditional Whipping boy SnepstsMustacheRides took down Rocky Mountain Thigh 9-1-1 thanks to Jimmy Howard’s 3 Win, 1.33 GAA week.

Once again the previous weeks recipient of the beat-down laid the beat-down as drb_redwings knocked off Sin-Bin Sadists 8-2. The 2 best defensemen over the last week were Drew Doughty and Duncan Kieth, drb owns them both. He also had Brad Marchand playing out of his mind. His trio of Lundqvist, Vokoun, and Khabibulin provided stellar goaltending stats. Sadist was done in by Mike Green, Mike Cammalleri, Alex Burrows, and Mikhail Grabovski. Martin Brodeur and Corey Crawford were good but not good enough.
